It's definitely getting closer, markr. Two points difference as of a few minutes ago.

There's still a couple of short track medals today that could go to KOR, and they're favored to medal in the men's mass start speed skating.

AUT is favored to medal in women's mass start biathlon, men's team Nordic combined, and men's slalom (which they're leading right now after one run).

USA is favored to medal in Alpine women's combined, men's ski halfpipe, women's cross-country team sprint, men's mass start speed skating, women's 1,000m speed skating, and men's hockey, and is guaranteed at least a silver medal in women's hockey.

So if all goes as expected, it would be six medals for AUT+KOR and seven for USA. And don't forget that CRO, DEN, LTU, and GEO are still out there as dark horses. I think this is going to come down to the last day or two.

The race is getting closer. fbaezer could gain 9 (pair skating) + 5 (women's curling - guaranteed 3) + 5 (men's hockey - guaranteed 2) on the two leaders.

I think the standings are going to remain as they are. I need a USA gold and a silver to tie. USA Bobsled is too far back to medal, and I don’t think the parallel skiiing and cross country skiing are going to both pull off upsets. Congrats markr!
