Lots of disappointments, but one of the best weekends of football I've ever experienced. The Sunday games were games for the ages.

Holy moley. Pure excitement. If ya didn't enjoy them...football is not for you!

I actually am at 7? Umbleebable. Anyway, I picked the Titans to win the Super Bowl. Once again, as I promised when the season began, I end at the bottom. Razz

Yep. 5 correct at 1 point each for the Wild Card,
1 correct for 2 points in the Divisional Round.

So it's down to Bengals v Chiefs and 49ers v Rams.

Who's got who?
Bengals -- JPB and Rhys
Rams -- edgarblythe and lmur
49ers -- nobody (!)
Chiefs -- Frank Apisa, lmur, Region, Squinney, Ragman, Maxine, Cheesehead, and Lightning22

I think we saw a generational shift to the younger teams this weekend. Great football, but it wouldn't break my heart to see both Rogers and Brady retire.

@JPB,
I wonder whether Brady or Rodgers think "just one more Super Bowl and I'll
retire," but if they do win, the rush is so great that they feel the
overwhelming need to try for "just one more."

@George,
I saw Brady’s recent interview about possibly retiring and he commented about how Giselle “hates seeing when Ibget hit”! Let me think on that a sec. Supermodel wife is telling me how she dislikes the danger of my job. Hmmm? My time has come.

As for Rodgers? Who cares?!

Actually, the guy I want to see retire is...The Gronk.

He seems to be a decent guy...and came out of retirement because Brady asked him to do so. But he gets hit a LOT...and I'd love to see him get out before a crippling injury.

I would not be surprised to see The Gronk, Brady, and Rodgers retire this year.

I used to like Rodgers...but right now, I agree with your "Who cares?"

@Frank Apisa,
Gronk is awesome. Amazed to see him return last year. Some call him the greatest Tight End ever. I’m not alone who tries to compare this NFL era with other eras BUT I do know he’s the most entertaining and helped his team get to the top of the pile.

Apropos of a different subject, let’s talk about Tyreek Hill and his playing…? Breathtaking!

I'm an Air Force vet. We had planes with after-burners that did not do the job Hill pulls off on his runs. The guy is a blur...and slippery as an ell. I love to watch him.

(I've got the Chiefs as the final winner!)

@Frank Apisa,
Doubt you’ll lose or the Chiefs.
I said that very same thing about Hill and afterburners once I saw him in this game.

Unrelated to anything in this year's playoffs, Shaun Payton is retiring from the Saints. They're going to need a new coaching staff and a new great QB next year.

@JPB,
That was not unexpected. He’s tops. If and when he returns to coaching, he’ll need some great assistants coaches. Whoever gets him will get a class act.

@George,
He's had every honor a QB can have. Time to make way for young blood. Steelers QB retiring too.

Brady is now rebuking the report, and saying he hasn’t made his final decision yet.
