You will find, Momma, that some people only "take that tone" when they feel threatened or inferior.

Momma, Like you, I don't like to be called names. Disagree with me all you want, but don't call me names is my stance. It seems that Jason is trying to emulate our Frank.

Oh my! I sincerely hope not, Intrepid. I don't think anyone likes being called names and I certainly feel that it diminishes someone's argument measurably.

So, I am hoping you two boys can learn to be nice to each other. Laughing

Intrepid, are you retarded? Didn't you come up with that scenario?

But let me ask you a question...another one.

If the twins are sharing a "key" organ (or whatever), how is that "parasite" to you?

Ah, now you are getting angry, frustrated and childish in your reponses.

Angry…me? not at all.

Intrepid wrote:

Also, your comprehension is somewhat suspect because you keep changing everything.

How is my comprehension wrong? I asked you specifically if the twins were sharing an organ. You didn't respond.

Intrepid wrote:

Um, Would you show me exactly where it was written that anything was shared? Rolling Eyes

I asked you a question (if you were able to notice the "?" at the end of my question)

Intrepid wrote:

What does the word retarded mean to you?

What I think of the word "retarded:" "Relatively slow in mental or emotional or physical development"
And I asked it as a form of a question. You should've answered "yes" or "no."

Intrepid wrote:

I find it very offensive that you use a word that describes people who have a particular affliction in such an offhanded manner.

Selfish people are those who always think about themselves. Liars are people who always are known for telling lies. People who take things from other people without their permission are often called "thieves." A person who is "relatively slow in mental or emotional or physical development" is a retard…why would I asked you if you were a retard?

Then, you discard the unborn the same way, don't you.

Get the meaning to the word, maaaan.

And this would be one of those "between a rock and a hard place" for me. I certainly don't agree with anyone barbing or jabbing anyone, as I think most people know. But, Jason hasn't taken that tone with me. So, I am going to take the position that you two boys will just have to learn to place nice because the Momma said so. Laughing

I will, Momma. But he started it. Rolling Eyes

"emulate our Frank"? I've never had the chance to meet him.

You should get out more, kid.

Okay, that's enough! To your rooms! Both of you. You can come out when you are both ready to apologize to each other and play like gentleman!

I think she means it.
I hear her muttering something about "the beatings are about to begin".

I suggest we all go hide for a while.

I always find it ludricrous in the extreme when someone will try to pretend that the unborn is part of the mother's body.

Doctors consider the unborn a separate patient, and have for many years.

(Interested parties would be well advised to read the amicus brief submitted in the Roe v Wade decision by a group representing physicians.)

You mean to tell me that man should have the right to claim property over the woman's body? This isn't just funny…it's the ideal concept of a sitcom, buddy.

The unborn has a body of it's own. It is not part of the woman's body.

Medical science recognizes that; you don't.

Wonder which one is right?

A louse also has it's own body. A louse is most definitely a parasite.
Parasitical in that it cannot survive away from the host.
I think independence of symbiosis is as good a criteria for 'rights' as any presented...

Intrepid and Real Life,

It is evident from the arguments traditionally presented by supporters of abortion that they have no interest in medical facts. Medical facts are studiously avoided and slogans and verbal sleight of hand are predominant.

The common argument that the 'fetus cannot be a child because it is a fetus' is just about as absurd as it gets.

By this logic, a 'child' cannot be a 'youngster', nor can he be a 'youth'. A 'child' certainly could never be a 'student', nor could he/she ever be a 'son' or 'daughter'.

Why?

Well, it should be obvious to everyone. Because they are different words. They are even spelled differently as anyone can plainly see. Rolling Eyes

The sad part of all this is that so many gullible people take such rhetoric at face value; nodding gravely and applauding the 'good sense' of these semantic charlatans.

DS, at what point could an infant survive on it's own? He is not going to be independent for a number of years.

Do you favor the parent's 'right' to kill their children at any point that they might prove too inconvenient to care for?

How 'bout those parasitical sick folks who can't survive on their own? Kill 'em? Yea or nay?

C'mon don't be coy. Let your utilitarian view be fully known.
