I would enter one suggestion for a new constitution.

The number one law is DONT STEAL.
All other laws are a variation of this.
Murder- If you murder someone, you have stolen that person from thier family, friends, and children.

Hate- If you hate someone you have stolen thier right to dignity

Adultry- If you have sex with someone elses marriage partner , you have stolen a piece of thier sacred bond that doesnt belong to you .

Robbery - If you break into someones home, you have stolen thier right to security, privacy , and respect.

etcc... etcc... etcc..

Oh believe me, Dys is definitely going to be a favorite of our citizens. I think this scenario can be a lot of fun as well as a great learning experience for all of us! I am trying to round up citizens.

LOL. Don't worry about the spirit comment! (I thought it was funny!) We don't have Gods or religions in the UPN right now (maybe we will and maybe we won't in the future, who knows?) so, no negative intent was presumed there!

Glad to have you as a citizen!

Ingenious, She! http://web4.ehost-services.com/el2ton1/specool.gif definition of stealing. I'm a great fan of pith, and using "steal" that way qualifies as a top-notch example. Keeps our constitution from growing to be as long as the Mississippi!

We do not discriminate against anybody, including for reasons of hair color.

Crazie, we are just playing a game of "Build A Nation" (kind of the political version of MONOPOLY). It's an exercise in problem-solving. Got any suggestions for what you'd like to see in the Constitution?

Crazy,

We welcome blondes, redheads, dyejobs, whatever! If you need any clarification on anything, just ask. We are in the very early stages of our Build A Nation (I like that term Xprmntr2). We are at the ground floor, so to speak. Currently, we are seeking ideas from citizens for our constitution. So, what would you like to see in the constitution?

Oh, dont' forget - you need to take the oath. It's in a post a bit further up here.

Welcome!

Well, we're not going to literally be discussing politics (there're plenty of threads here already doing that). The idea is to build a peaceable community.

Xprmntr2,

Thank you. I was trying to think of exactly how to say that. Crazy, there are no democrats, liberals, republicans, etc. No religions, no God or Gods. We are all citizens equal in rights in the UPN. All your basic needs are met (i.e., food, clothing, etc.). That way, we concentrate strictly on the problems that arise as a whole and not for an individual. We are trying to build a community that strives to confront problems and find a solution for them. It is a community based not on individual egos (wants) but what is best for the community. Everyone has the same amount of say as anyone. We will identify problems, come up with solutions, discuss them, and then vote on them.

We would love to have your input because everyone is equal in the UPN. Everyone's views are more than welcomed. We just ask that you follow the laws as they are. Now, as the laws change, things change. Keep that in mind. So, we all have to make a choice of what we are willing to do to get to the point we want to be. In the beginning it's simple, follow the UPN Three. Take the oath. Then lobby to make changes, amendments, abolishments.

Laughing Ok Shewolf,

There are no laws in the UPN concerning immigrants (not yet anyway!)
Hope you have a great visit in our little nation!

Shewolf,

I love your ideas for the constitution and would love to see you lobby for them. However, in order to amend, change, or abolish the UPN Three, you must first take the oath of the UPN. If you are not a citizen, you do not have the right to vote or lobby to vote. Go up in previous posts and check the oath out. It gives great leeway as to how far you are to "accept" the laws.

I really hope you do decide to become a citizen. Your views are excellent!

Kisses,

Momma Angel

so already we have Plato rearing his ugly head like his was some kinda christian with this "us" and "them" dualism. Who is this "we"? Very elitist I'm thinking and for damn good reason too! Could it be the medical "we" as in how are "we" feeling" today crapola? Or is it the far more evil "we" who know what's best for everyone else because "we" are the benevolent philosopher kings? Which rule does this break? Is mama the first one to wear the powder blue leisure suit? Join me my droogies and rally against this abomination of elitism with the everyone is equal except the elites which are more equal shinola we can collectively tell to hitlers and ghandi's face Hey you! get outta my face! I mean it! remember our motto "Jesus and Sparticus died for the same reason and not a moment to soon, they were rabble rousers and we the rabble won't take it any more" So the bottom line is don't be one of "them" be one of "us" and paint your front door RED.

I pony what mama might have been intending as that old Moral Lesson. Me believing in moral absolutes, I pony that there aren't many good droogs in this litso at all, no! In truth the Government is the Lewdie as much as old Dys is. So as the citizenry ponys its own morality, are we to take away "Boys will be boys!" from this? Tolchock that, O my Brothers! Lewdies are lewdies! Like love him or like hate him, Dys prevails throughout so much of his own Malchick days and beyond, so one, if morally inclined might set his or her glazzies on what Moral Lesson Mama like promises us, Brothers! No morality is easy, I pony, so the moralistic weight of the modern world might just be on thy pletchoes, Brothers! So be it.

I could almost believe you're another http://web4.ehost-services.com/el2ton1/torch.gifRKK. Well, I guess that settles that: I will not be lobbying for you as court jester. (Not that you'll mind, I'm sure....)

I doubt Momma is trying to push Platoesque ideas on anyone. She's just the "moderator" of the embryonic stage of the nation-building.

Dyslexia,

I am not going to pretend that you haven't hurt my feelings here, because you did. I stated why I was doing this and what you just posted is the same thing as calling me a liar. I am not trying to teach any moral lessons here. I specifically stated God and religion were not an issue here. I was merely attempting to see if perhaps common citizens of this world can stop finding so many problems and start looking for solutions. I made it clear that everyone has equal say and equal rights. Everyone that chose to participate did so in the spirit of trying to find solutions.

This scenario had nothing to do with religion. It had nothing to do with Christianity. It had to do with me caring about this world and not understanding how we got where we are. It was my small attempt to try to gather some insight.

You can be just as cruel and judgmental as you can be funny. It is just a game. If you don't like the game, then don't play. But, some of us want to play this game. What is so wrong with letting us do that?

And, Xprmntr2, thank you. I am glad to see that as a citizen of the UPN you are sticking up for the laws we agreed to abide by. And I sure hope the heck I didn't say anything in this post to break Law Number Two.

Oy, sorry I went a bit under y'alls heads on this but I actually thought humour was part of the game. (even if directed towards Plato) so once again you can count me out of your not so egalitarian society and mark me off as another marginal man. Keep up the good works and remember what the Dylan said "When you see your neighbor carrying something help his with his load but don't go mistaking paradise for that home across the road"
