@maxdancona,
See, everyone? Catholics don't even believe in the resurrection of Jesus!

Heretics! Heretics!!!

Also, Jesus did not have a father in the conventional sense.

@bulmabriefs144,
Actually I have never been Catholic and I certainly dont speak for them

However, it seems obvious that both the Mother of God and the Son of God can be ressuected by God.

And God can appoint any intercessor he wants. Mary seems like a perfectly good choice to me.

@bulmabriefs144,
For the record... Jesus himself was accused of being a heretic to his face. I figure I should be flattered.

@maxdancona,
Good to know you're trolling me, then.

If.

If Mary is indeed the Mother of God, and not simply Mother of Christ.

How can not-God creation give birth to God creator? It can't. Mortal can only birth mortal. Mary only supplied the DNA of Jesus. She could not give birth to the spiritual nature of God in Jesus. God was the Mother of God. And Father of God. Not Mary.

To resurrect is to overcome death. It is not passive result of some title, it is the active result of overcoming death.

God can appoint an intercessor, but just as a tax account is not qualified to do the job of a tax lawyer and a doddering fool name Nancy Pelosi is not qualified to be President of the United States, someone saying you are something doesn't change the fact that you're unqualified for the job.

To be intercessor means being rightful Heir of God (Mary is disqualified) and Son or Daughter of Man (God is disqualified). This is a tough job, that can only be done by someone born from both.

@maxdancona,
Flipping heck Max, I thought at one point you considered the priesthood. Magdalen wasn’t the mother of Jesus, she was his consort. I thought you would have covered that.

Those who believe in the divine nature of Magdalen believe there’s as much proof of her divinity as the Christians do of Christ.

Talking of which there's no hard evidence he actually existed, but that stuff about him going to Egypt is clearly bollocks. Why would he want to do that? It’s horrible, dusty and smelly.

Everyone knows Jesus went to Glastonbury with his uncle, Joseph of Arimathea, to do shrooms, scrumpy and learn from the druids. It’s why Joseph sailed to Glastonbury with the grail afterwards.

@maxdancona,
Yes, because his ideas were stumbling blocks to the Jews.

But early Christians were quite different from the Catholic church, a largely Roman invention by people like Constantine, to lead Christianity off-track (yes, even more off track than asserting Jesus was a woman). The gender of Jesus makes very little difference in the core theology of Jesus assacrifice for sins.

But what did Mary sacrifice? And how is it that priests can tell people to recite praysrs and have their sins forgiven? Isn't the law a curse, and Jesus the one who bore the curse of the law by hanging from a cross/tree? How then can Carholics say your sins can only be forgiven if you recite "Hail Mary, full of grace, blessed art thou among women..." Your sins are forgiven because of Jesus, not Mary, not your actions. Galatians 1:8 says anyone who contradicts (not simply doesn't believe, as with Shintos or Hindus, but actively spreads false belief) the Gospel are under a curse.

@bulmabriefs144,
Jesus was born of the human parents Mary and her half-brother Joseph, who were both sired by Heli=Alexander Helios III by different mothers.

John the Baptist pointed out Jesus, the son of Mary his cousin, as the one whom the ‘LIGHT of MAN’ had chosen, as the man through who he would reveal himself to the world; the man that he had promised Moses that he would in the future, raise up from among the Israelites, the one who would come in the name of the Lord ‘Who I Am’ and speak only that which he was commanded to say by ‘Who I Am’ [The Son of Man] and the Most High in the creation.

Later he was to doubt if his cousin's son were the promised King or if they had to wait for another, I don't think that John believed that his cousin Mary was an ever virgin.

Deuteronomy 18:18-19; YHVH, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, says to Moses; "I will send them a prophet like you from among their own people; I will put MY WORDS in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command, and whosoever will not heed MY WORDS, which he shall speak in MY NAME, I will punish, etc.

Peter confirms that Jesus was that man, when, concerning the man Jesus, he says in. Acts 3: 22; For Moses said; "The Lord your God will send you a prophet, just as he sent me, and he will be one of your own people, etc."

Did the people of his day believe that he was the Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The God of our ancestors? No, they did not, for on the day of his triumphant entry into Jerusalem, the people escorting him cried out, "BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD" Verifying that they believed Jesus to be the one that God had promised Moses that he would choose from among the Israelites, and send to the people to speak in his name.

Jesus spoke not one word on his own authority, but only that which he was commanded to say by the Lord God our savior.

John 5: 24; "Whoever hears my words, (Which were the Words of YHVH/Who I Am, that he commanded the man that he had chosen from among the people, to speak in his name) and believes in “HIM” who sent me, has eternal life.

Acts 3:19; “Repent then and turn to God, (Not to Jesus, but to God) so that He (God) will forgive your sins. If you do, times of spiritual strength will come from the Lord, and He will send Jesus, who is the Messiah that he has already CHOSEN for you.” The man Jesus, was chosen and made both Lord and saviour by “Who I Am”.

Luke 28-36; When the disciples, Peter, James, and John, who, awakening from a sound sleep and through blurry eyes saw Jesus speaking with Moses and Elijah, as a cloud covered them, and a voice coming from the cloud said, “This is my Son whom I have ‘CHOSEN’---- Listen to him.” And when the voice stopped speaking, there was Jesus all alone.

Acts 3:13; The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors has given divine glory to his SERVANT Jesus.

Act 17: 31; For he (The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.) has fixed a day in which he will judge the whole world with justice by means of a MAN he has CHOSEN. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising that MAN from death.

Isaiah 42: 1; The Lord says, "Here is my servant, whom I strengthen---the one I have CHOSEN, with whom I am pleased. I have filled him with my spirit (Which descended upon him in the form of a dove, as the heavenly voice was heard to say, "You are my beloved in whom I am pleased, TODAY I have become your Father.) and he will bring justice to every nation.

1st Timothy 1:1; “From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by order of “GOD OUR SAVIOUR” and Christ Jesus “OUR HOPE.”

John 14: 24; “And the word which you hear is not mine, but ‘THE’ Fathers who sent me. Not “MY Father” but ‘THE’ Father of us all: “Our Father who is in heaven.”

Jesus said to Mary Magdalen in John 20: 17; “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'"

Whose words were these in reference to the body of Jesus, the temple of the Lord, which had been filled by the spirit=information=words of the Lord who had descended upon him in the form of a dove? “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up?”

They were the words that Jesus was commanded to say by “Who I Am,” who raised the body of Jesus, the earthly temple, which had been filled with his spirit.

Acts 5: 30; The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you slew and hanged on a tree.

Acts 13: 30; But God raised him from the dead: and he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee, etc.

1st Corinthians 6: 14; And God has both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

2nd Corinthians 1: 9; But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead.

2nd Corinthians 4: 14; knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence.

Acts 17: 31; For He (The Lord God our saviour) has fixed a day in which he shall judge the whole world with justice by means of a MAN he has CHOSEN. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising that MAN from death.

It was the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, [WHO I AM] who said through the mouth his obedient servant Jesus, who spoke in ‘HIS NAME;’ “Destroy this Temple and in three days I will raise it up.”

@bulmabriefs144,
Early Christians were all over the place. There were many groups of Chriistians all fighting with each other. You can see this in the Bible.

I suspect the Catholic church is more authentic (as compared to people in the first century) than you are.

I find it funny that Christians who worship the American Flag accuse others of idolatry.

American Protestants are judgmental, unforgiving, greedy and cruel. They are about as far from the gospel of Jesus anyone can be.

I doubt these silly theological would interest Jesus a bit (although you are insulting his mother). If you are lacking compassion for the poor and immigrants you are really missing the point of the gospel.

@maxdancona,
The apostles did not teach the false doctrine of the so-called non-biblical VIRGIN conception and birth, of Jesus by his mother Mary.

In the days of the Apostle Paul, the people were already beginning to fall away from the truth, and following another gospel that was not taught by the word of God or the apostles.

In his 2nd letter to the Corinthians 11: 4; Paul says, “You gladly tolerate anyone who comes to you and preaches a different Jesus, not the one we preached; and you accept a spirit (The Lie) and a gospel completely different from the spirit (Of Truth) and the gospel you received from us.”

So, what was that other gospel that was leading the people away from the truth and away from the Jesus as preached by the Apostles, to another false Jesus?

That gospel was the word of the anti-christ, that refused to acknowledge that Jesus had come as a human being, and instead, they believed that he was a spirit, whose humanlike body was able to pass through Mary’s Hymen without breaking it, and who, like some Hologram, would appear and disappear at will. Even in the later days of John, the false teaching that Jesus was not of the seed of Adam from which every human being who has, or ever will walk this earth, has descended, and had not come as a human being, but as a spiritual being, was already beginning to rear its ugly head, and concerning that evolving falsehood, John had this to say.

1st letter of John 4:1-3; “My dear friends, do not believe all who claim to have the spirit, (My words are spirit) but test them to find out if the spirit [teachings] they have come from God. For many false prophets have gone out everywhere. This is how you will be able to know if it is Gods spirit/word: anyone who acknowledges that Jesus came as a human being has the spirit who comes from God. But anyone who denies this about Jesus does not have the spirit from God. The spirit that he has is from the enemy of the anointed one, the Anti-christ etc.”

2nd letter of John verses 7-10; “Many deceivers have gone out all over the world, people who do not acknowledge that Jesus came as a human being. Such a person is a deceiver and an enemy of Christ.”

Where would one expect to find the teaching that Jesus was not a true human being, “Born of the seed of Adam” which has been spread ALL OVER THE WORLD.

In Alexandria, by the second century, ‘Docetism,’ the concept that Jesus had existed as a spirit rather than a human being, had all but theoretically been stamped out. But still, there persisted the belief that their Jesus, although seen as a sort of human being, did not have our normal bodily needs, such as eating, drinking and excretion, and Clement the bishop of Alexandria, wrote: “It would be ridiculous to imagine that the redeemer, in order to exist, had the usual needs of man. He only took food and ate it in order that we should not teach about him in a Docetic fashion.”Although it was written that Jesus was hungry, and Satan then tried to tempt him into turning stones into bread.

Their Jesus was not the Jesus as taught by the apostles, but that other Jesus, taught by the Anti-Christ, who unlike we mere HUMAN BEINGS, did not need to eat, drink, or go to the toilet, as was taught by one of the great teachers that the authorities of Emperor Constantine’s universal church, used as one of their authorities when trying to defend their false doctrines.

Saint Clement of Alexandria, who was a saint in the Martyrology of the Roman universal church, in support of the great lie, speaks of the time that some imaginary midwife, who was supposed to be at the birth of Jesus, (Non-biblical) told some woman by the name Salome, that the mother was still a virgin after the birth and that her hymen was still intact, and that this supposed Salome, stuck her finger into the mother’s vagina to check, and her hand immediately withered up, but the baby Jesus reached out and touched her hand and healed it. . . . What a load of utter crap.

Clement was accepted as a saint in the universal church, which was established by Emperor Constantine, from a rag-tag group of insult hurling religious bodies, who called themselves christians. Eventually, sick to the stomach with their constant quarreling and abuse toward each other, Constantine summoned all the leaders of those groups to the first ever "World Council of churches," where, in 325 AD, some 300 years after the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ had been firmly established in Jerusalem, the non-christian, and almost certainly theologically illiterate Constantine, established his universal church, which has nothing to do with the Jesus as taught by the apostles.

Down to the 17th century Clement was venerated as a saint. His name was to be found in the Martyrologies, and his feast fell on December 4. But when the Roman Martyrology was revised by Clement VIII (Pope from 1592 to 1605), his name was dropped from the calendar on the advice of his confessor, Cardinal Baronius. Pope Benedict XIV in 1748 maintained his predecessor's decision on the grounds that Clements life was little-known; that he had never obtained public cultus in the Church; and that some of his doctrines were, if not erroneous, at least highly suspect.

"ERRONEOUS--HIGHLY SUSPECT," they certainly got that right, but by seventeenth century, the false teaching of the so-called virgin birth had become firmly established in the minds of the gullible, and their heads today are so mixed up and set as hard as concrete, one would need a sledge hammer to crack them open and allow the light of truth shine in.

@maxdancona,
Before Constantine’s became the head of the Roman church, there was no real interest in Mary the mother of Jesus, men such as Helvidius and Jovinian of the Roman church, pointed to the Gospel evidence that Mary had given birth to other children after Jesus, and that the Gospels stated that Joseph had no sexual intercourse with Mary “UNTIL AFTER’ she had given birth to her “FIRST BORN CHILD” Jesus.

The fact that it is said that Joseph the son of Jacob, had no sex with Mary until she had given birth to Jesus her first born strongly suggests that Joseph the son of Jacob had sex with Mary after Jesus was born and because it is said that Jesus was her first born child, again, strongly suggests that she had other children.

It was shortly after, that Hilary and Didymus the blind bestowed on Mary the title “EVER VIRGIN” and because Jesus had been made "VERY GOD" at the council of Nicaea in 325 AD, it was in 431 AD at the council of Ephesus that a proposal was put forward and passed that from that day on, Mary the mother of their ‘Very God’ be entitled ‘Theotokos=God bearing’ and therefore, mother of God.

Although there were others there, who believed that Jesus was a man who was given divine glory by the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and taken into heaven and was then incontestably divine, and argued that Mary could only be the mother of the human beginning of Jesus, the opposition who believed that Jesus was a God who took on the form of a human being for awhile, had packed the assembly with their supporters and the proposal was passed.

From the book 'Jesus the evidence' by Ian wilson; we read, "In 1854 Pope pios 1x made it an article of faith for all Catholics that Mary should be considered 'IMMACULATELY CONCEIVED'---that is, from the moment of her conception incapable of sin. Pope Pius 11x pronounced her, 'QUEEN' of heaven

@maxdancona,
The hell you say. To patriotic doesn't require me to worship a flag. For that matter, while I love my country, I loathe its rulers and would easily say #DefundTheGovernment

Nationalism is cruel, you accuse. But I believe I've already told you that illegal immigrants are exploited. So maybe it's time to show you The Video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIO-E54YBA0

The crueler thing is to "help" them. Illegal immigration results in prostitution, legalized slavery, abuse, and many other issues. You can help them by supporting certain charities though.

Likewise, taxing the rich does not help the poor. I have almost always worked for private individuals. They are able to pay me for my gardening or computer help precisely because they are at least middle class. The more taxes, the more things play out like this (hyperbole of course, but you get the idea). Basically, inflation is not because of excess money. It's because of excess taxes and regulation causing the average prices to rise.

https://youtu.be/AGck8xZZsOY?t=274

Protestants don't follow a woke globalist shill with pretensions of piety. They think with their own hearts and minds, and understand that helping their own country is the best thing they can do for the world. Because when America succeeds, it shows an example to the rest of the world. When America succeeds, it is also able to give of its plenty to others. The problem is, many of those others are under wonderful governments that hoard wealth, and tax people to death.

Now, shame on those with plenty who hoard their wealth. But I am not able to force them. Because mandatory sharing isn't any better. How do we know the person telling you to share won't misuse the money?

@bulmabriefs144,
Your rather strange religious beliefs have nothing to do with the gospel of Christ or the beliefs of the early church. You have a set of modern beliefs which you twist the bible out of context to suppoer.

Your posts here are not loving, not forgiving, not merciful, not humble, not centered on the poor, not welcoming to strangers, not unified, not seeking the kingdom of heaven.

You somehow have found the opposite of the gospel of Christ... and somehow you think arguing about wheter Joseph had sex with Mary matters

@maxdancona,
Yes, I have very strange beliefs.

Your posts are not loving or kind either, but you are in a sort of deep denial about it.

You confuse welcoming strangers, which I did readily as part of a job, and which I believe every business should do as a matter of course, with the false welcoming and false kindness of globalism.

"Only we liberals accept blacks/minorities, LGBT people, women, and immigrants. To be loving and welcoming, you need to accept the narrative of globalist leftist. People who don't ate racist, sexist, homophobic/transphobic, etc."
(hypnotizes)
https://s4be.cochrane.org/app/uploads/2013/07/hypnosis.jpg

I am actually very LGBT friendly. I voted for Trump precisely because he said LGBT people should beable to carry guns to defend themselves against people who want to kill them. Tolerant liberals are okay with Muslims in their own country tossing people off rooftops. And when they get murdered in cold blood, they aren't allowed to fight back.

I'm pretty minority friendly too. So you tell me, why are BLM erasing the faces of successful black businesspeople like Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben (these aren't their real names but they are their real faces)? These are blacks who made it. Instead they honor blacks who did nothing of value. King Nummy Rd is in New Jersey. If you really wanted to honor the man, call him his Native American name. Nope, instead you erase his name because you are offended by it, and it's Old Indian Trail. Or Washington Football Team.

And I like women. I would also like to be one (as I've repeatedly mentioned whenever I bring up my women's clothing genderfluid/transgender thing). I have seen how the left wants them to be victims, to collect money from welfare, and not to be successful, to be fed women's studies crap, be thousands in debt, and unable to secure paying jobs.

But behind the scenes, I've seen firsthand that the worst abuses by leftists. Leftists will pretend to accept you if you lockstep accept their mindset, if not they use words like you wouldn't believe. Calling you an Uncle Tom or not really black if you believe blacks ought to be successful. Calling me no such thing (right, I was completely erased for being conservative), or branding me with the same mark as white males, or even slurs like faggor or tranny.

I've told you that immigration actually screws up the lives of the immigrants the most. I know this from watching the low pat deal many of them got, working in the same industries. How many of them are basically slaves, afraid to report their abusers because technically they broke the law. How they are like an untouchable caste, doing all the jobs we don't want to do. You roll your eyes, convince yourself I'm being racist, and continue not to care.

No. This is Antichrist Pattern. Create a manmade "better world." Show people rights that you've actually stolen from them in the first place. If they don't agree with your grand plan, strip those rights.

Do me a favor and watch the Dressrosa segment of One Piece. I'll wait.

Then tell me if a overtly "good" government always is. No, I oppose "good" government. A society that truly cares for LGBT people understands they must earn their respect or they will be handout addicts. A society that really cares for blacks and women doesn't feed them propaganda to keep them victims, but instead teaches them useful skills. A society that cares for immigrants doesn't exploit the ones that came illegally, and devalue the ones that came legally by making their sacrifices worthless.

@izzythepush,
Mary Magdalen is believed to be the sister to Joseph the son of Alexander Heli III=Heli, and therefore the sister-in-law to Mary the mother of Jesus, and Mary Magdalene, from who Jesus drove out seven demons, is believed to have been the mother of Simeon and Jude, who her brother Joseph the biological father of Jesus adopted as his own, and they were the cousins to Jesus, Joseph and James, the three biological sons of Mary.

Although being the adopted sons of Joseph ben Heli, the biological father of Jesus, Simeon and Jude were seen as the step brothers to Jesus.

Of Marys three sons, only Joseph the son of Joseph ben Jacob was not sired by Joseph ben Heli, who is also called Cleophas and Alphaeus. Joseph was a very common Jewish name in those days as it is today and it was not uncommon for the men of northern Galilee to carry three names, one in Hebrew, one in Greek, and one in Aramaic. Joseph, Cleophas and Alphaeus are all the one person, who is the biological father of Jesus and his only full brother James the Son of Alphaeus=Joseph ben Heli.

Alexander Helios III, the Father of both Mary and her half brother Joseph, who are the parents of Jesus and who were born of different mothers, was a Father of renown, and was murdered by Herod the Great in 13 B.C., when his daughter Mary was only seven years old, and the Hebrew Joseph, the half brother to Mary and father to Jesus, is also called Cleophas which is the masculine form of Cleopatra, and Cleophas in Greek means "Of a renown Father,' and Alphaeus is the Aramaic for 'Of a renown father'. Plus you will find in the subject guide of Young's Analytical Concordance, that Cleophas the husband of Mary is one and the same as Alphaeus.

James the son of Alphaeus=Joseph and full brother to Jesus, was the first to sit upon the Episcopal throne of the church of the circumcision, and from Joseph the historian, Eusebius and Hegesippus, we learn that James was murdered at the instigation of of one of the same Sadducee sect responsible for the death of his brother Jesus, he was subsequently succeeded by his cousin Simeon.
