@Frank Apisa,
I can tell you whatever I want to tell you. And you do not get to tell me what I cannot tell you. My words are my own.

On the other hand, it is apparently very easy to get this woman to say whatever people want her to say. Observe.

Locusts.

Biden is not much better.

The state of California owns chemical plants and laboratories to make insulin? Weird.

@McGentrix,
I guess you raid a few meth labs, take their equipment and you're in business.

@edgarblythe,
You don't need to raid a meth lab.

Meth is made from household chemicals.
https://researchchemicalsofficial.com/how-to-make-methamphetamine-at-home/

You'd probably be able to make meth yourself just from a grocery run. Or rather, raiding a meth lab would do nothing for you because these are common chemicals, it's about the skill of the chemist. Unskilled chemists tend to blow themselves up. Also, grocery stores tend to limit purchases of these to prevent bulk meth production.

@McGentrix,
:shrug:

Just saying. It's pretty much unnecessary to raid a meth lab unless you want the finished product. You'd find nothing but components you could get at Walmart.

Speaking of Walmart, here is the real joke.

Biden cut traditional Medicare physician reimbursement by 4.4% after increasing funding to for profit Medicare Advantage plans by 8.5%.

this is part of his effort to privatize the Medicare program by ensuring that providers further ingratiate themselves w/ private insurance

@edgarblythe,
Actually, I think you could make a case for that. HOV lanes are far safer than the regular lanes of assholes switching constantly and endangering lives. Pregnant women? If it's HOV2, sure why not.

Quote:
I am bearing down on Democrats because they and their followers hold the keys to the success or failure of our country in the immediate future. Republicans, Green Party, whatever else is practically irrelevant. The people who normally would want the Democratic Party to succeed could transform the country overnight if they would stop being subservient apologists for their politicians and their stonewalling the needs of the nation. But, they whine. What you want is pie in the sky. We don't deserve it, at least not now. By increments in distant future we may evolve to a tolerable society. Meanwhile be a drumbeater for the current state of affairs. Whatever, don't criticize Democratic leaders.

If not now there will possibly never be another chance.

I think you're pretty dismissive of the GOP and Green Party. And overly idealistic about the Democratic party. To be perfectly honest, the Democratic party consists of socialist users and useful idiots. They have caused most of the problems there. And the leaders are far worse than the rank and file. Some of the rank and file can actually be persuaded to have a conversation with a conservative. While people like AOC are either so fringe as to be irrational, or a veneer of a real person who only stands for issues because it makes them money. Even capitalists are more honest about their greed.

If the world does not destroy itself...

...the future will be closer to the left's hopes of what it should be than to the hopes of the right. Capitalism will probably exist...but only as significantly moderated by strictures suggested by socialism.

But that is only if the world does not destroy itself!

The future will only happen if the urgings of the right are abandoned.

Saying activists fighting for human rights are “out of step with the mainstream Democratic Party” is a tell that Party leadership needs to change.

Saying liberal activists constantly pointing out the faults of the Democratic Party should spend more time noting that the current Republican Party faults are enormous when compared with those of the Democrats...

...is a tell that the "activists" are not liberals or progressives, but part of the citizenry being duped by Trump and his supporters.

They are a bunch of fools asking that a poor situation be replaced by an even poorer situation...so that an even poorer situation can be victors.

Actions and attitudes similar to those with Stockholm syndrome have also been found in victims of sexual abuse, human trafficking, extremism, terrorism, economic oppression, financial repression, political repression and religious persecution. [10] This is because Stockholm syndrome can be argued as "another method of coping with the stress and danger...similar to some forms of coping in that the participants do not directly address the problem but find a way to cope with the situation by identifying with the aggressor. Coping mechanisms such as these can have a large impact on PTSD."[3]

Stockholm bank robbery
Main article: Norrmalmstorg robbery
In 1973, Jan-Erik Olsson, a convict on parole, took four employees (three women and one man) of Kreditbanken, one of the largest banks in Stockholm, Sweden, hostage during a failed bank robbery. He negotiated the release from prison of his friend Clark Olofsson to assist him. They held the hostages captive for six days (23–28 August) in one of the bank's vaults. When the hostages were released, none of them would testify against either captor in court; instead, they began raising money for their defense.[4]

Possible evolutionary explanations
Evolutionarily speaking, research evidence exists to support the genuine scientific nature of Stockholm syndrome. Responses similar to those in human captives have been detected in some reptiles and mammals, primates in particular. Abuse and subsequent submission and appeasement by the victim have been observed among chimpanzees, leading to the theory that the Stockholm syndrome may have its roots in evolutionary needs.[30]

Life in the "environment of evolutionary adaptedness" (EEA) is thought by researchers such as Israeli military historian Azar Gat to be similar to that of the few remaining hunter-gatherer societies. Gat asserts that war and abductions were typical of human pre-history. Being captured by neighbouring tribes was a relatively common event for women. In some of those tribes (the Yanomamo, for instance), practically everyone in the tribe is descended from a captive within the last three generations. As high as one in ten of females were abducted and incorporated into the tribe that captured them. Being captured and having their children killed may have been common; women who resisted capture risked being killed. When selection is intense and persistent, adaptive traits (such as capture-bonding) become universal to the population or species.[31]
