Tricked to meet her new boyfriend? WTF!?

Sun 25 Jul, 2021 11:15 am
I've known a girl (around 30 y/o) for a few weeks, nothing has happened, I like her but she doesn't drive me crazy.

But yesterday I was tricked by her into going to a supposed gathering of friends, and on her way it turns out that it was a meeting with her new boyfriend and his friends.

So she wanted to humiliate me or something?
Is this a common thing?

@MatthewOrff,
Why would you consider that you were being tricked. Her boyfriend's friends may very well be her friends.

Looks like she wanted to include you in a circle of special friends.

@jespah,
No, the boyfriend's friends were not her friends. He's just a random guy that she met two weeks ago.

@MatthewOrff,
You started off saying you know her... not that you have some established romance. So move on and find someone else that you would want to see. Who cares what or why she sees this guy?

@MatthewOrff,
Then let it go.

It happened, it's done, whatever her motivation was, she's not your gf anyway.

@jespah,
So it's okay for you that someone purposely lies to you and uses you for their double agenda?

@MatthewOrff,
I don't normally get all bent out of shape about people I've only known a few weeks.

If it bothers you, here's an idea. Stop hanging around with her.

BTW since you've known her less than a month, why wouldn't her bf see you as some random guy she had met three weeks ago?

She ain't worth all the agita.

So a girl takes you to a party and you feel “ used.”?

How so?

@PUNKEY,
Party?

If a girl takes you to a supposedly friendly meeting and then it results in a meeting with "look who am I going to ****" then would you feel happy?

@MatthewOrff,
Matthew, you need to calm down. This is very unbecoming.

I really don't understand what your issue is. She doesn't drive you crazy? Maybe she feels the same way and this is why 'nothing has happened'? This was a chance for you to meet other ladies not pout and sulk and perhaps completely misinterpret the invitation.

@MatthewOrff,
Ok...can you perhaps explain what it is that you seem to feel you have "lost?" You have only known the girl for a "few weeks' and nothing has happened. I'm sorry...I've BEEN humiliated by the opposite sex and that is not what this is. Did she promise you otherwise? Did she lead you on and THEN do this? I'm confused...

@Medusax,
LOL... I thought it was more to do with being a member of an anti-govt or subversive group or something.

Words and time - weird. Like "Sick" and "Dope" mean "great", ha ha

Thanks for posting that as I would probably never have looked it up.
