I'm going to take a guess because both my Italian, and French are not the best. I say it's Italian. And, you can see it's a song. Francis is our expert here. Latin root languages confuse me sometimes.

It's a love song, about the melancholy feelings inside for the loved one, and life etc... Maybe someone else can give you a word by word translation. I don't feel secure enough in my knowledge of those two languages to do it. I may be all wrong. I took up this challenge to improve my knowledge of both languages.

Some italian construction are untranslatable. So "perdutamente" means litteraly "lostly" the meaning being "like you where lost in love"... not so easy to translate, for my still poor english Rolling Eyes

Both word are quite close to "perdutamente" and obviously would be a better translation than "like there is no tomorrow" Which is the one I used Smile

But yet the meaning is also somewhat different, you loose the "To loose yourself in love" part... I guess there's no way to translate it. It is sad how you loose something anytime you translate from any language to any other... Rolling Eyes
