I just remember the story of a temporary bachelor neighbor of ours who had been left alone for three weeks while his wife was having and recovering from surgery.

He loaded three weeks worth of dirty dishes--and the laundry!--in the back of his pickup and tried to run them through the car wash.

It didn't work.
