I get kind of confused about what the point is, with some of the breathless “breaking news” that purports to uncover new, incriminating things about William Barr, or Rudy Giuliani, or some other former Trump associate.
I mean, they report it like any day now we can expect them to be perp walked in shackles right into a holding cell.
“Barr lied to Congress - it’s now official!”
and, “Giuliani’s devices confiscated!”
How high is your expectation that this former Attorney General and this former personal lawyer to Trump will actually suffer the penalties of law? Mine’s lower than a snake belly.
Y’all come and get me when they actually put one of these pigs in the pokey.
<edit>. Ok, ok, I know what the point is - tv ratings. But it’s awfully annoying.
There are no grounds to think that most Americans feel compelled to take umbrage at China when it comes to talking about China's rise. In effect, most Americans tend to bleat about foreign entanglements, which is to say that they don't want their government becoming embroiled in vexed foreign affairs, particularly another war with a big nation. At the same time, some American politicians think differently, opting to flex America's muscles and fight for its national interests. Biden and his ilk would tell you that at the heart of the issue is spheres of influence as well as military alliances.
Trump chose to roll back America's traditional policy of striking alliances with its allies in Europe and Asia in this regard. Worst yet, he didn't balk at riling America's allies by having a trade kerfuffle with European nations and Canada; he also demanded that Korea and Japan cough up more for America's protection.
Biden won't be making such moves since there are indications that his black advisers appear to have agreed that Biden has to bludgeon China into doing America's bidding instead of playing chicken like Trump. How would you do that? Answer: through heightened military cooperation and economic integration. In other words, Trump may have been a loudmouth for China, yet he was still loth to gang up on China. Not Biden. I think he is going to use such alliances like the so-called Quad and D10 as a weapon to deal with China. And for all their differences over some America's policies, the EU and America are still in the same boat just like Britain.
By the by, it would seem to me that we have some black droogs wanting to bullyrag Asian Americans in America , and they even call themselves liberals. That's rich since liberalism exalts racial equality; only black liberals would make such preposterous claims, And they are only acting like racists when their leaders like Maxine Waters beseech them to be rioters and buccaneers. This reminds me of some rotten despots living in Africa.
Tellingly, Kamala Harris is biding her time, waiting for the chance to seize power. Yet Trump will be the victor again if Biden keeps letting his black advisers and far-left cranks bamboozle him into believing that America should be a nation like Sweden, where crime rates have been rising thanks to floods of new foreign immigrants who have trouble landing jobs.
@goldberg,
Where ya been, Goldberg? You get a little moderator-sponsored time out?
CNN's ratings have jumped the shark, according to Fox News.
@goldberg,
Trump was never the victor. never. he's lost the vote every time he's run. he lost it in 16. only the e.c. got him in. the voters rejected him., america knows better thasn to let him back, no matter how out of touch the gop is with the country.
@MontereyJack,
Time will tell who's spot-on. If I were advising Biden, I would tell him to keep an eye on some black radicals. They are gung ho about the idea of establishing the so-called Black America.
@MontereyJack,
I truly think that Biden is an avuncular man. Plus, I still adore Hillary Clinton. Having said that, I don't think Trump is a baddie as u claim. And there is nothing wrong with his America First policy since every global leader pays heed to its own country's national interests.
@goldberg,
WHAT????? "If I were advising Biden", as in "If YOU were advising Biden" ??, that the best laugh I've had in a month.
@glitterbag,
You are going to cry after black people take over our earth. They hate each other to boot.
ROFL
@goldberg,
But you said you liked black people. Even idolized some. What happened? Some black guy steal your girl?
@snood,

There's some dumbass rednecks on the planet, and it doesn't matter what colour their skin happens to be.
footage shows a black man pushing a man who happens to be Asian to the ground and hitting him in the head afterwards.
@snood,
I have never said this. I simply said that I " have had a chance to read some books written by black intellectuals."
@snood,
You should be telling this to the black goobers attacking Asian Americans in America.
@snood,
The New Yorker's Hilton Als seems to be a learned sort. He is black.

You never said some of your idols were black people? You never used Michael Jordan as an example?
@snood,
When I was very young, George Washington Carver was an idol of mine and always will be! From that group I also place Helen Keller and Jim Thrope.
@BillW,
That’s ... good, BillW. Why are you telling me this?
