@oralloy,
I'd argue that it would be naive to make a case that most supporters of Biden happen to be progressives like AOC and her ilk. To my knowledge, Biden is said to have boggled at some madcap policy recommendations championed by AOC, according to The Economist, which has been a staunch supporter of Biden-it also subscribes to the idea that Biden has to find a way to peg back Trumpism.
Personally, I'm also leery of progressives and their real intentions, particularly some black crackpots keen on taking up the cudgels for black activism. By which I mean they just want to replace White America with Black America. President Biden for this matter woud do well to be on his toes; it would be wrong to let such nutters call the shots in his administration, even that means President Biden may have to cope with ferocious street protests once such far-left groups let rip.
I want to give my best wishes to Biden, in spite of my doubts about his ability to grind down black cranks. And I also want to point out that for all my snarky remarks about such hard-left black people, I still reckon that we still have some well-bred black folk gung-ho about racial equality instead of Black First ideology.
It would be utterly foolhardy for supporters of BLM to blame non-white people for their own shortcomings and bad habits. Most non-black people wouldn't tell kids to pinch other people's assets and sneer at them afterwards. The thinking goes, the principled reason why you find hordes of sober-minded foreign immigrants flocking to settle down in America is they truly believe that they can find a better life in America by dint of hard work. And their kids will have a bright future through good education in America.
That's the nitty-gritty of the American dream.
By the by, I think I'm still a liberal as a fan of Hillary Clinton. I wish she had won the presidential election,
