Being a "person of colour" myself, I really don't get offended by handles or protocol, considering the fact that "niggers" call themselves that in songs all the time.

And, not to put too fine a point on it, but you won’t hear rappers calling each other the n word with the hard ‘r’.
You hear them calling each other “niggah”.

It’s a subtle difference, but it matters.

Typical shading of stories from republican/right wing new sources, they take a sentence, distort it or take some unsubstantiated statement and spread it all around as fact and then have the gall to call the rest of the news fake news media. Sometimes I am tired of it all. Wish there was something to bring a fresh breath of air to politics.

I suppose as a nation we no longer value truth, honesty, fairness or our reputation. I worry that things won't change until the liars and fabricators manage to destroy vital parts of our country. We keep playing a morbid game of chicken and we will destroy ourselves unless we relearn the importance of the truth.

It's disheartening, our citizens no longer pull together during a crisis. Creeping close to 600,000 citizens dead from COVID but skeptics don't believe it. The skeptics don't trust educators, education, politicians, doctors, lawyers, judges, police, entertainers, scientists because they are too smart to let professionals lead them astray. The inmates will be running the asylum if we keep pretending they don't exist.

I'm Australian. Many of us have mixed heritage. One of my sisters did our full history search, and found that grandfather on father's side was stolen generation "half-caste", which makes us "octoroons".

There was also a popular sporting ground, Nigger Stadium, ironically named after a fair-skinned blonde English pace bowler. Such is the ironic nature of slang here. Redheaded men are often nick-named Bluey. Go figure.

Yup, certainly does sound like there’s a definite difference in the way it’s used there.

If you are a white-looking person, and you presumed to speak to me in that way in public here (“niggah please”), I very likely would quickly try to knock your incisors and bicuspids down your throat. Furthermore, I don’t think a single person who witnessed it would hold it against me.

You got all caught up in the first sentence. The point was the second -that you couldn’t talk like that here - it would not be okay - it’s not acceptable coming from a white person (with aboriginal roots).

You’re pretty ignorant, but even you probably realize in the dim recesses of your pea brain that you couldn’t go up to black people here in the US and call them any version of the n-word, don’t you?

I don’t give a **** where your son lives or how well traveled you think you are, or how well you think you understand “the world”.

White people don’t casually use the n-word here to people of color.
Surely even you understand that?
