Meme doing the rounds on social media;

Client talking to banker;

I've decided to close my safety deposit box, and keep all my valuables in my garage, next to my '73 Vega.

@Builder,
Is Vega an accidental misspelling of Vegan or Vette?

@izzythepush,
I didn't realize they shared the same name, what an awful situation for Harry's family. I remember Trump tried to create a moment on television when he invited Harry's parents to meet with Anne Sacoolis (who was in the next room). What a gigantic humiliating stunt Trump pulled.

@Builder,
LOL, but really it’s astonishing the old idiot didn’t burst into flames, mocking the world, saying all of those classified docs were lying about in his ******* garage. Like it was a punch line.

But, very interesting—democrats and their news talkers are coming down on him. Somebody with some power wants him out. I’d like to know the oligarch plans for the presidency. Please not that other lame cackling imbecile. I don’t know if they’ll have him removed or wait two years.

@Lash,
I guess they need someone dumb enough to follow orders, but coherent enough to stitch a few sentences together.

Tough to find, at that "level" of the pyramid.

@Lash,
You'd really have to wonder what the dems could conjure, though. Do any of the dozen-or-so hopefuls even have a public persona to show the people?

Apart from Harris (total failure as VP so far) and Warren ( I'm Cherokee from waaaaay back) who else do they have? Looks like a minefield to me.

Can you imagine a president Buttigeig? Or Prez Klobuchar?

Is this America ? or a Balkan state?

@Builder,
The oligarchs—or whoever is manipulating American politics — were too transparent installing Biden using Covid as a cover during the election, and using Obama to orchestrate the anti Democratic coup against the overwhelming front runner Sanders, that they’ve pushed their luck too far with that kente cloth-wearing bunch of imbeciles we saw in 2020.

Add to that revelations of disgusting corruption via Twitter Files, and I think they’ve ushered in an era of DeSantis. There are probably factions of Americans who will come in out of the cold (non voters), just to vote against the D party. Vote Against Blue No Matter Who.

I live in South Carolina, and we are already planning trips to black neighborhoods starting SOON to educate them about the Democrat Party and specific democrats and Jim Clyburn.

It’s time to break that stranglehold.

Witness a white woman so full of narcissism or just plain crazy, and so bereft of common sense and self-awareness that she can’t see the
caustic level of hubris inherent in assigning herself the mission of “educating the blacks about the Democrat Party”.

Goddam, what a ******* piece of… work.

@snood,
In any case, OP doesn't seem to want to send them to closed homes for (re-) education as was done in the GDR, for example, in Hitler's Germany and probably still is in Russia.

I wrote a half-dozen replies to that post of hers and rejected them all as not doing the job I wanted done...which was to express my repulsion at what she said; the way she said it; and the absurdity of its content. I was going to come back later and hope to have better luck at expressing myself.

Now that I read your reply, Snood, I think it best to just agree with you with a loud AMEN!

@Frank Apisa,
Using someone's template:

I live in Maine, and we are already planning trips to white neighborhoods starting SOON to educate them about the GOP and specific Republicans. These tools vote straight party line and never question, "What have they done for me?"

It’s time to break that stranglehold.

I'm sure all of us here would wish to help a progressive advocacy initiative. If we had a website or facebook group identified, we would surely consider donating money to the cause.

A group of GOP Wyoming state lawmakers want to end electric vehicle sales there by 2035, saying the move will help safeguard the oil and gas industries.

The measure, introduced to the state legislature on Friday, was sponsored by six state legislators, who said in it that electric vehicles will hinder Wyoming’s ability to trade with other states. The bill states that citizens and industries would be encouraged not to purchase electric vehicles before the ban goes into effect.

I love a well-turned parody as much as they next guy, I suppose.
I bet some pigs are just dense enough to take that playfully painted-on lipstick as a tag of credibility, though.

Hey...back a few decades, Sen. Roman Hruska of Nebraska (during debate on failed SCOTUS nominee, Harrold Carswell) argued that even if Carswell was a rather mediocre candidate, since there were many mediocre people in the country, they deserved some representation also.

Leave it to American conservatives to do the heavy thinking!

Didn't mean that post to be humorous, snood. Rather I was pointing to her suggestion that she was part of some activist group (which I suspect, in some form, she is) but that there's likely zero chance she'd identify it because of what it would reveal about her actual motives.
