@Lash,
Quote:
Revolutions are not polite.
The violence of every day life that decimates generations of citizens *seems polite*—most of them dying quietly in neighborhoods we avoid—but one day, they’ve had enough and there you are.

1. What (exactly) are you referring to?

2. Are you referring to violent insurrectionists who tried to overthrow the United States government
on January 6th?

3. Are you referring to the election deniers who refuse to accept the results because their preferred candidate lost?

4. Are you referring to those who were scheming and planning (unlawful) ways of keeping Trump in office
after Biden had defeated Trump?

5. Are you referring to the people who will only accept election results that gives their preferred candidate the victory?

6. Are referring to the people who rejects any results that doesn't give their preferred candidate the victory?

@blatham,
Please tell me that's real.

Meanwhile, over at the Google news feed... on Friday there was plenty of coverage on the story about Biden giving medals relating to the Jan 6 mess. FN's contribution: "Biden says wrong day at Jan 6 ceremony". Classic.

@Real Music,
Try to use reading comprehension, focusing on the actual text and trying to avoid applying your bias to your answers.

That doesn't help your incoherent outbursts and nonlogical musings.

@Lash,
The people who make peaceful revolution impossible are the ones who refuse to respect the results of elections. Elections are the opportunities for peaceful revolution.

It is. And it's not the only piece they've done on M and Ms (color and gender being the suspicious characteristics).

It seems to me that certain personality types are unsatisfied and unsettled by peacefulness itself. Perhaps they see it as boring or too complicated but see it as evidence of non-change. Burn it all down! - that gets the juices going and it's very, very simple.

Change is the only constant.

Accepting a corrupt status quo, to protect the very little peace and prosperity you imagine you may have, isn't a forward-thinking attitude at all.

It's defeatist, and egocentric.

@blatham,
I've always assumed it comes down to greed. Simple greed and complex greed. For some people they never have enough, especially if a loathed cousin, or an obnoxious neighbor has more stuff than they have. Sometimes it's more complicated when some people figure out how to skim profits, or engage in other 'stealing stuff'. This is going to sound ridiculous to some people, but the embarrassment of getting caught stealing someones property is a terrible and humiliating thing. It might not be the worst crime, but it labels you as dishonest, greedy and untrustworthy.

When the greed totally corrupts their ego's they become interested in cultish factions and join groups like the "Proud Boys", the "Three Presenters" and other factions that require you wear unkept hair duck dynasty beards, wear MAGA hats, have a white supremacist tattoo and refuse to eat quiche. (maybe some of them eat quiche..who knows).

Egos is the word you seek. It's a simple plural, and not a possessive.

The issue as it stands, is that the whole political system of the once-great US of A has been purloined by career criminal bludgers calling themselves politicians. Add in the fact that dual citizens from another nation can play in this "ballpark" while taking bribes from all-comers from any nation, and you see the result before your eyes right about now.

You think that an election is going to solve this problem? You're dreaming.

That's what Jan 6 was all about. Patriots wanting their nation back. I'm not at all surprised that you don't get it.

One day you might.

Why couldn’t JFK just keep his mouth shut and enjoy being ridiculously rich? Some people just can’t be satisfied. They just want to find things to complain about.

Some people are compelled by an urgency that you just don’t understand. But, you probably will soon.
