I don't know how much you know how Sweden's Säpo (and the prosecution) works.

Generally - at least here in Europe - security agencies don't publish the temporary results of ongoing investigations nor such is done by leading prosecution.

But you might be better informed.

What is the legal reason that you want legitimate evidence?

No reasonable prosecutor or investigative agency would do so here, either, Walter. Just doesn't happen.

@Walter Hinteler,
I’d like to know the truth. We don’t get that often in the States. The prospect is exciting.

It's actually quite discomforting to most westerners, to even consider that "their" mass media is part of a closely controlled corporate mind manipulation tool.

Cognitive dissonance is the new normal.

Recent admissions by pfizzer that they never tested any of their "products" for transmission effectiveness, largely went ignored. The ramifications of this are actually enormous, but it got dropped like a hot potato, pronto.

Seems like the left doesn't like it, maybe they can go make their own twitter.

It's not a right/left matter. It's about incompetence at the administrative level. Over the last 72 hours or so (and after letting go of some 50% of staff) hundreds of key personnel have quit due to Musk's decisions and vacillations on how the company will go forward. There is now a good chance that the site will cease operating and that he'll file for bankruptcy.

This has ramifications not just for people like myself who have found twitter extremely valuable as a learning tool but for others around the world. Twitter has been an extremely important means for citizens in countries with oppressive governments to communicate and organize and to keep the rest of the world informed as to internal events.

@oralloy,
Yes, I did roll my eyes a bit when Pelosi ripped up the President's speech at the end of a televised event. However that is nothing compared to the childish name calling and taunts for an American President.

Let's call a spade a spade, shall we? One indiscretion versus multiple years... Yeah, not even a discussion.

BREAKING: STATEMENT OF SPECIAL COUNSEL JACK SMITH:
Following his appointment by Attorney General Merrick B. Garland today, Special Counsel Jack Smith made the following statement:

“I intend to conduct the assigned investigations, and any prosecutions that may result from them, independently and in the best traditions of the Department of Justice. The pace of the investigations will not pause or flag under my watch. I will exercise independent judgement and will move the investigations forward expeditiously and thoroughly to whatever outcome the facts and the law dictate.”

You don't think the general public deserves to see legitimate evidence, Walter?

Why would you think that way?

There, see everyone? The newly appointed special prosecutor says that everything’s fine and that the process of pursuing justice will in no way be delayed by his appointment.

I’m sure that as soon as he gets done recovering from a serious bicycle accident he had in the Netherlands, he’s gonna prosecute like gangbusters.

Not to worry.

Piece of cake.

On the one hand, it is probably the case that we - the affected countries - are informed.
Then, I don't think it is the case anywhere that "the general public" actively participates in the investigation of the police and security authorities.

Sure, one could change that and assign these tasks to the "general public" alone. Maybe that would solve crimes faster and prevent crimes.
However, unlike you, I cannot imagine a world without police and law enforcement agencies.
