@MontereyJack,
You were wrong then and you are wrong now.

Truthful statements do not fool people.

And I'm largely immune to being fooled.

Only a progressive could suggest that we fight a war by attacking our allies instead of our enemies.

Wrong. The 9/11 attacks were carried out by a group based in Afghanistan.

Saudi Arabia not only did not launch the attack, the group that did launch the attack wants to destroy Saudi Arabia just as much as they want to destroy the US.

Evidence? You have none. I've already provided evidence that you're wrong.

Wrong. There is plenty of evidence here:

You've provided links to untrue claims, nothing more.

@oralloy,
nonxense, pretty much everything you post is from an alternate reality youre fooled by.

@MontereyJack,
Wrong. Nearly everything that I say is true, which is why you've never been able to point out an untrue statement in any of my posts.

What you wrongly refer to as an alternate reality is actual reality, which you are unfamiliar with.

Because you are unfamiliar with reality you do not understand this, but reality does not fool people. It does the opposite.

And of course, as I've already pointed out, I am largely immune to being fooled.

@oralloy,
Yeah. Bin Ladin and his the al-Qaeda launched the attack against America from the outset. At the time, The Saudi monarch sided with America. Bin Ladin had drawn ire from The Saudi monarch after he assailed The Saudi monarch for deviating from a strict version of Sharia law exalted by jihadists and being America's patsy.

MBS, the current ruler in Saudi Arabia, may be tempted to go easy on the Taliban

@MontereyJack,
Lots of related books have been written either by conservative or liberal scribes. And they all point their fingers at Bin Laden as the mastermind of 911.

I think both MSNBC and CNN wouldn't take issue with this fact.

I thought Fortune magazine was going to appoint a black writer named Ellen.McGirt as its new editorial in chief. It did not happen. Ellen.McGirt , who just returned from a trip, only apprised her readers of her determination to spend more time covering racial issues.

That's good news if you ask me. I don't want Fortune magazine becoming a far-left publication speaking for BLM and AOC. That's not the original goal of Henry Luce, who founded Fortune magazine. I mean Fortune would do well to stay away from hot-button political issues as a financial magazine. And it's supposed to be a magazine targeting centrists, conservatives and liberals.

@MontereyJack,
Negative. It's telling that a black editor will coerce her or his writers to write more articles that lap up progressive liberals, something readers of Fortune magazine wouldn't want Fortune to do.

Fortune is a business publication. We have other magazines covering current events, say, The Economist, Time magazine, or even the New Yorker. And such magazines all gravitate towards liberal thinking.

Bloomberg Businessweek seems to be another one hankering after liberal values; only Forbes seems to be a conservative one.

I think readers of Fortune don't need another financial magazine preaching the virtues of liberal order. They just want to read well-written financial articles; that's supposed to be Fortune's strong suit.

I don't even care if Time wants to have a black editor or not since I don't read Time.

That's why it's decidedly complicated. They could be enemies as well as allies in different situations.

@Walter Hinteler,
Well, last time I checked, the mighty US military machine is the biggest user of fossil fuels on the planet.

Ironically, most of their missions are about securing more fossil fuels.

Having an economy literally based on a hegemony on oil, and oil products, kind of makes such a department a visible, though useless entity.
