I think the thing that bothers me most about it is the mindless, follow-the-bouncing-ball way the story is covered in the news.
We’ve seen this dance a hundred times. “Trump is in big trouble. More at 6pm on Action News!” Then for news cycle after news cycle, we get speculation from a hundred TV lawyers and pundits about the deep trouble Trump is in, and the terrible consequences that might happen.
It would help me if they did a disclaimer before every breathless ‘Trump is in trouble’ story, acknowledging that we’ve been hearing similar stories for five years.
Besides that, they usually include the phrase Tgis is bad news for Donald Trump”. Makes it more titillating for everyone not fond of Trump. But it’s NOT bad news to him - he gets to hear his name everyday on every channel. Attention is what he lives for.
Democrats must spare no efforts to secure hard evidence to arrest you-know-who. America doesn't afford the luxury of his second presidency.
