Dangit, my kaffiyah is at the dry cleaner's.
Hi jespah and George and everybody!
*waves*
Hi Marycat. Doesn't Boston look like Florida today? Aren't we lucky?
marycat!!
hi ya
nice soltice outfit there guys -- you aren't suggesting we wear those - right?
If you carry the staff with the crescent moon at the top, I think you're good to go, even if your celebratory clothing is in the wash.
Littlek--
I'm of the Chinese Restaurant School of Paganism--so many traditions from Group A and then so many more from Group B. I have no coven, but I do have a sense of humor.
The Winter Solstice I take very seriously--I have SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and the long winter nights are extremely challenging to survive.
To remind the sun to turn north, I try to bring a bit of greenery--usually decorated with memories of years past--into the house.
If I can't get my hands on fresh greenery I sincerely hope that my house plants will count as beckoning vegetation.
For ten days, each night at sunset (times from the local weather forecast), I light a single candle for all those who are wandering.
For a number of reasons, the summer solistice is much more complicated.
Okay, so I'm all moved into my new place and ready to get planning on a Gathering!
Is there something resembling a plan that I missed in the back-reading?
Oh yeah, plans. We don't really do that, do we?
(I was away for so long I almost forgot!)
So have we come about a date yet?
I don't date, I'm married.
Hmm it was December, yes?
...ah, distinctly I remember...
Noddy was to be in Lowell on Friday, December 16.
That date, however, was not was not good for Jes & Reeg.
Hey, hey, I will also be in town. Nov 25 to Dec. 3rd. And BlaiseDailey, as I understand, also 1-4 Dec or around that time. Just throwing that in for no good reason. I'll be in touch with lk....
I'll be in Lowell from December 14 to December 23.
For the suburbs, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday are best.
In Boston, any day is fine.
Dak--I'm annoyed that we won't overlap.
