@snood,
I have no problem with INTERRACIAL MARRIAGE. I'm not a racist. I want to marry either a White woman or an Asian. That's a preference.

ALL Americans should be treated the same under the law.

@JGoldman10,
However, years ago, some Christians had issues with interracial marriage.

This is what a Christian judge of the landmark Loving v Virginia wrote:
Quote:
Almighty God created the races white, black, yellow, malay and red, and he placed them on separate continents. And but for the interference with his arrangement there would be no cause for such marriages. The fact that he separated the races shows that he did not intend for the races to mix.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loving_v._Virginia

Plus, the Christian college Bob Jones University had banned interracial relationships until 2000, and they only dropped the rule because then-Republican candidate George W. Bush visited the school and brought attention to the rule.

@Rebelofnj,
I tell people this all the time: If God didn't want people of different cultures intermingling He would have made our GONADS different. What makes you human doesn't change.

Moses had an Ethiopian wife. God struck the woman who criticized Moses for marrying an Ethiopian with leprosy.

@Real Music,
Someone at a chat site I know was talking about some very racist agenda BLM has. I'm going to post what he said when I find that info.

@JGoldman10,

Yes indeed you need to be anti christian to wish to even slow down the murders of blacks.

One of the greatest Christian outfit of all times was the one who was in the habit of burning crosses just before they did their hangings.

@JGoldman10,
For someone who wants to communicate with other black users here, you are dead set in disparaging the Black Lives Matter movement, which most Black Americans hold favorable opinions of.

@JGoldman10,
I offer a rebuttal:

Quote:
Many Christian groups have become active in Black Lives Matter as the movement has progressed. The website of the United Church of Christ, for example, offers “Black Lives Matter” buttons. A campaign by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) “affirms the Black Lives Matter movement.” And the American Baptist Churches alluded to the movement in its resolution, passed last March, celebrating its denomination’s role in civil rights. “We affirm today that black lives matter,” the statement read. “Every life matters.”

But those denominations tend to be liberal in their thinking. The path is trickier for conservative evangelical groups. They would all agree that black lives, like other lives, matter. But evangelicals, especially those who support Republican candidates, are uncomfortable with the movement because of its embrace of liberal politics, associated with Democrats.

I think it all comes to you having more conservative views, and not favoring the more liberal BLM movement.

@JGoldman10,
The vast majority of people who march and demonstrate with BLM aren't members of the organization. They are there to protest the killings of black people at the hands of racist cops in a country steeped in systemic racism. They aren't there to "dismantle the Biblical definition of family. They're not "championing a celebration of homosexuality". They don't "tout gender confusion as normal and seek to make heroes of those who are mentally confused". They are there in solidarity with black citizens, showing that they believe that the lives of black people matter, some of them putting their lives on the line for this cause. If your pathetically fearful "Christian" friends want to dull the appeal of the BLM organization, ending violence by racist cops is a much better tactic than promoting homophobia. Evangelicals can be sickening at times.

@izzythepush,
African Americans are 60 to 70 percent Sub-Saharan African on average. They are not racially-pure.

They have European DNA and/or Native American DNA and/or other DNA.

Whites raped the slaves and the slaves intermarried with slaves and Native Americans.

I said this already.

This has all been documented. If an African American does a genealogy test and traces his ancestry they will find that they have European and/or Native American ancestors.

@JGoldman10,
I linked to that article and it says nothing like that. Did you actually read it? This is the opening paragraph (which I already quoted):

Quote:
For some Christians, support for the Black Lives Matter movement is a no-brainer. After all, Jesus opposed violence, opposed the taking of life and opposed racial distinctions. As the apostle Paul taught in his letter to the Galatians, there is neither slave nor free, for “you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

@JGoldman10,
No one is here claiming African Americans are racially pure.

Honestly, the vast majority of the world (if not, the entire world) is not racially pure.

It says Jesus opposed the taking of life. You're taking that out of context.

@JGoldman10,
Quote:
I tell people I'm a "White man in a Black man's body". I dislike people who play and pull race cards, or race bait.

One of the more disturbing things I've ever seen.

That most certainly is not the words or attitude of someone who doesn't care about race.

What it describes is self loathing. It certainly isn't post racial.
