Trump is mentally challenged in many ways. He keeps proving it in so many ways, it's endless.

No president is required to do everything on camera. No president has. Most executives prefer to work out plans with advisors in private and then announce them.

Realize that the moment there is a cure or vaccine for a pandemic, you are dealing with a mass hostage crisis so long as the owners of the cure/vaccine don't release it for anyone and everyone who has the means to disseminate it.

The president and advisors would then have to deal with the issue of how to negotiate with the people withholding the cure/vaccine, e.g. whether to pay and then punish or what.

No president is as inept and self-dealing as Donald Trump. Trump is mentally challenged in many ways, and he's failing in most of them.
