You heard him say what exactly? That we have been monitoring terrorist phone calls? I hardly doubt you saw Bush on TV saying he had done anything illegal, he isn't THAT stupid.

It is not stupidity, it's hubris.

You two make quite the pair. I think Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels starred in a movie about you.

Oh gosh, I thought I was the only one that McG hurled girly insinuations at. Now he is caliming maginkat and none are "Dumb and Dumber."

Well, here we have one rightie calling John Dean an idiot and another calling other posters stupid. So which pair deserves the "Dumb and Dumber" designation more?

If anyone has read John Dean's column on Findlaw, they would KNOW he is not an idiot. He is quite knowledgeable on constitutional law. You can make fun of him because he was a Watergate felon, but at least he didn't do a Charles Colson for goodness sake!

Don't you know that Tic's opinion is the only one that counts? Just because he says so!

Funny, Nixon didn't think Dean was an idiot when he appointed him. Unless one believes the appointer was also an idiot.

Which would be an accurate assessment of most Republicans!

John Dean is, by no means, an idiot.

A venal weasel, but not an idiot.

That he has the nerve to try and trade in his venality for profit makes him scum, but not an idiot.

The idiots are those who take Dean's blather as gospel, because it conforms with what they want to believe.

You idiots, you are playing right into the hands of the venal Dean.

You effin idiots!

The man that appointed him was the venal weasel so I guess birds of a feather do flock together.

Yes they do.

Nixon was, without a doubt, a venal weasel, and a much worse one that John Dean.

However, there is reason to believe that if Tricky Dick were alive today and came out against Bush, he would become a darling of the Left.

Dean apologists and promoters are, in fact, idiots.

You don't know? Come now LW.

They are forgiving him his role in Watergate and promoting his current anti-Bush rhetoric. (As if you didn't know)

Dean apologists and promoters...hmm...kinda like Finn promoting Bush. Who ya' gonna believe. As for venal, well I think his making a living by learning from his experience, hardly qualifies as venal. Calling people who do pay attention to dangers to our constitution doesn't make us idiots.

Forgiving his whistle blowing for Watergate? There's no forgiving necessary and you know it.

Yeah, right, Dean is alone in his anti-Bush stance (rhetoric being a word which is way over used and has come to mean almost nothing). May I remind you of Bush's low job approval rating and that the war is now opposed by over half the voters?
