So, where are all your posts showing support for America about anything? You certainly seem to post enough about how bad we are or how wrong we are.

<sigh>....like trying to reason with a toddler. A petulant one at that.
See how well you do when you focus on the subject matter and stop attacking him personally... That would be a novel approach.
It seems there is a growing attempt by most of the anti-Bushies to completely avoid facts and statistics-- and rely almost completely on characterizations of posters who don't share the same opinion.
The damn Koran getting peed on--kicked, crapped on, .... This isn't an issue. If it was a mainstream religion getting this treatment, you would all be saying what I'm saying. "Get over it!"
How about some equality. Why don't you all stop manipulating what is right and what is wrong after you calculate the political mileage that can be gained?
Burning religious books--of any stripe-- right or wrong?

Hey Lash why don't you find a post anywhere where Brandon doesn't attack me as an America hater first and then post this ridiculousness? Take all the time you need. Brandon has proceeded from the point that I and others are america haters and therefore everything we say is useless and traitorous and now you're doing it. It wasn't me who took this post off topic, I started the goddam thing. Get real would ya?
Burning religious books right or wrong... who loves America right or wrong? Not the subject matter of this post. Check it out.

Quite frankly I couldn't care less if the quran gets kicked or flushed either, my amusement is the mouth frothing of the right about being the good guys who would never sanction or do such a thing, who respect everyones beliefs and are fighting for their rights to have them and it's all bullshit. We're just a powerful country trying to obtain a stranglehold on power and we'll do any f**king thing to that end. Our leaders are like every other, and more brutal and conniving than most.
We don't kill and torture our own....yet.
It seems to have escaped your notice that we are responding to (a) a terrorist organization, Al Qaeda, that attacks us around the world, including on 9/11; and (b) a dictator, Saddam Hussein, who has tortured and murdered his people; used his WMD against his people and a neighbor, Iran, he tried to annex; signed then broke treaties with us; and paid the families of suicide bombers.
You show a great deal of sympathy for these people, e.g. protection of their rights when captured, but never seem to find it worthwhile to mention much sympathy for us or our efforts to fight back.

There Lash, Brandons first post speaking to me...an accusation and a question of my patriotism.
Anyone reading the entire CNN or NYT articles, or the
DoD Transcript from which the material for the articles was drawn would learn the incidents of guards' improper behavior were extremely rare and resulted in sanctions against the perpetrators, that most of the guards' "disrespect" of the Qu'ran was indirect and even inadvertant, and that there simply is no issue to be had there. However, that won't bother the folks who are so devoid of real issues they seek desperately to manufacture them. Fortunately, those folks are in the minority.

Then why did the White House make such a big deal of it and why do they continue to blast the media about it if it's such a non issue to them?
And please spare me the spin that it's the media who made it a big deal. The media reported on incidents that the pentagon said actually took place and the White House made it a tempest in a teapot.

It is quite different than calling someone a 'toddler' or characterizing them in an insulting way.
Why don't you just explain why you seem so protective of detainees Korans, and don't have too much positive to say about our efforts? That's all he asked. You perceive it as an attack--and that's more about you than Brandon.
I think if you think about it, you'll understand. I think you've been asked legitimate questions. Hell. I've been asked much rougher questions than that.

Start a thread about me if you think it's so important Brandon but it's you who are avoiding this topic. Hell avoiding doesn't even cover it. Refusing to acknowledge it is more like it.

Say what you like about me to divert attention from the subject I can take it.
You've claimed,
in this thread, in response to me that you're patriotic, and I am falsely portraying you as hating America. Here's your big chance to prove that's true. We have all seen your countless posts about how America is bad, in the wrong, failing, etc. I offer you an opportunity to show me all your posts that say something good about America or support it in some way.
Okay, as soon as you show where I am protective of them. As soon as you explain how recognizing this entire situation for bullshit political hay making means I am a Korean sympathizer. That's funny btw, I thought I was supposed to be a Saddam and terrorist sympathizer.
You guys can't make this dog hunt no matter how hard you try, so why not quit the childish and transparent hysterics?
Again with the insults.
Just prove your point.
(And, the hysterical vibe is not coming from these environs...)

In other words, you can't come up with the threads in which you support or praise America, because there aren't any or aren't many. Thus, your characterization of yourself as patriotic and, falsely identified as an America hater is untrue
It is puzzling when someone--and there are many--heavily criticise---and rarely if ever offer anything positive--yet refer to themselves as patriotic.
I personally don't consider myself the arbiter of others' patriotism--but this style of it discussed here seems rather hard to define. Seems infinitely easy to make the claim in the complete absence of any ....evidence.
This is not a debate..this is an attack on me. It could be an attack on any number of people who post here, but this time it's me. I know you don't single me out, but froth at anyone who doesn't buy 100% into the bush presidency, so don't think I'm being sensitive.
I'd love to stay and watch you do the Superior dance, but I have to go to work now.
btw, I have made it clear on more than one occasion that it's precisely because I love my home that I am pissed off to see the way it's being treated, but you could go through every post I ever made and you wouldn't acknowledge it, so froth on dude, I'm going out ot have fun and get paid.

I have asked you relatively calmly over and over to support your claim that you are patriotic and that the implication that you're an America hater is false. What is so offensive about asking you to show a bit of evidence?
Everyone has seen your countless posts saying that America is bad, wrong, failing. Show me some of your posts supporting or praising America about anything at all. This is a perfectly calm, rational request for you to support your claim.

The "Big Deal" is the incessant, baseless effort to create an issue. The Media choose to report as they choose to report. It is The Media - and The Left (which pretty much is the same thing) which continue to stir the teapot. As do you. Actually, I'm all for the media frenzy on this; it serves well to further distance The Media from any credibility it once enjoyed among The Public.
BTW - whaddaya think about
ACLU Shredding Internal Documents?
