@farmerman,

Even god must obey the laws of science

Well--He saw that they were good. To His complete satisfaction as Aquinas explained the word "good".

He allowed Satan to tempt Eve in order to demonstrate the futility of disagreeing with any of them. Time being nothing to Him.

He's quoting a Bob Dylan song. Again. As if it has any relevance.

Which shows how little you know about Dylan ed. Or about poetry in general.

It has great relevance in the context I employed it. That it has none for you is neither here nor there.

I speak for many; you are the only lonesome george here.

@cicerone imposter,
"here" is not everywhere. The self-selection of anti-IDers is so narrow that I'm surprised you don't have a meet in a broom-cupboard.

@spendius,
"Here" is not anywhere for you, because your "here" is in your local pub. You live in a cloister, and don't realize the limitation of your perception about this world you seem to reside.

@cicerone imposter,
I think you will find ci. that it is generally accepted that if it was asked what the opposite to "cloister" is "pub" would be one of the first things that come to mind.

@spendius,
See? You don't even understand the definition of simple words. Show me where you can find cloister and pub as opposites?

From Webster:
Quote:
Definition of CLOISTER
1
a : a monastic establishment b : an area within a monastery or convent to which the religious are normally restricted c : monastic life d : a place or state of seclusion

@cicerone imposter,
I surrender ci. That's how aghast in astonishment I am.

Fancy not only disputing the point but asking me to show you where to find it when it's right there in the post you're responding to.

A pub is the opposite of a place of seclusion.

@spendius,
spendi, You don't even understand what "seclusion" means. Seclusion can apply to individuals or to groups of people.

Thesaurus:
Quote:
seclusion
noun privacy, isolation, solitude, hiding, retirement, shelter, retreat, remoteness, ivory tower, concealment, purdah

There's none of that in my pub.

I would imagine your pub to be very like your church... A place where much is said and little is understood.

@tenderfoot,
I can't disagree with that. It applies generally I think. A2K being a case in point. It's hardly just pubs and churches.

@rosborne979,
"the ultimate conclusion must be that a Supernatural Intelligence must have started it all... quick, what has three letters and starts with a very big "G") "

Even the big G (even though there's no such thing) had to have been created.

You still don't know who created the big G? Men; many men.

I don't argue these points any more. One either believes or does not. It is each individual's choice.
