This sounds like a man recognizes the truth of his own character, and projects it onto others, no matter how unjust.

That sounds like a man who refuses to face his own scientific reality and his direct descent from animals.

Non sequitur

(and nonsense)

If I said that 2 plus 2 = 4 is that projection. One doesn't project facts.Facts stand alone.Evolution says man is an animal-a beast. Thus I am a beast and you are all beasts. What's the problem. Was it the "filthy".Well beasts are pretty filthy creatures.
If I recognise the truth of my character in this SD way then how would a fellow SDer be any different.Only the character of an IDer could be different.I stress "character" (a human construction).

Couldn't I have equally said "Non sequitur" or "nonsense" had I been prepared to waste my breath.

You need an explanation of your own analogy?

Your statement clearly associates "a man without God" with "The filth of the beast".

Since I prefer to respond to the "meaning" of what people write, rather than to quibble over fragments of sentences, I challenged your implied insult with a more revealing one back at ya.

Then you advanced another analogy which was completely non sequitur, so I called you on it without wasting words.

Now here we are.

At least if you're gonna drink and spew gibberish, have an extra shot for me. Smile Some of us have to work, and envy your inebriation.

Not another splodge of gratuitous assertion.Such things are becoming so common one is beginning to think they are a way of life and a normal method of discourse.
It's heckling really.

There is no analogy.

Exactly right.Darwin thought that too.So did Huxley. So does everybody else who follows the logic of the evolution position. So does the "selfish gene".And any other theory with no God in it.What separates us from beasts if there is no special creation.Whenever it was.
As I have said-I am a 100% SDer.I wish I wasn't.I'd like to think of myself in a relation with God but I can't but that doesn't lead me to try to take such a thought away from those who have it.
Fat chance anyway.

The logic of "No God" is that we are beasts caused by an accident with no purpose or meaning.Don't spout "No God" at me and then turn away from that.

That's pitiful on a debate forum.Do you only wish to hear from people who agree with you.The intolerance of half-baked SDers gives SD a bad name which it doesn't deserve. It betrays a trace of insecurity.

I'm not in the business of defending my respectability.I know it is an illusion.I'm trying to debate the issue and get a little recognition for the humanity of IDers.

You won the argument in Judge Jones's court.Live with it.You have even used the School Board's incompetence and that of their team to distract you from the main issue as well as heckling.Chiclids are beasts and those other things with the blood clotting cascades or whatever. All the fossils were beasts. What the hell does that lot have to do with running a country and bringing up human children?

There's no credit for an analogy. There's the right place for them that's all. They are just a part of a language that some people speak naturally without thinking about it.They don't force very well.Great writers weave analogy so you don't even notice them. Not first time through at any rate.

So there was no credit to take away.

When you look for a while at the picture of the old muckgrubber you can easily see where he got the idea from.It doesn't look like it cheered him up much.Does sardonic despair fit the bill.

The beautiful painting, forgetting the hammer and the anvil for a moment,is,presumably,a beautiful painting and as such lightens the sunken spirits mentioned in the final witticism and raises them to levels one couldn't imagine that old goat ever reaching. And his kids didn't have much fun I can tell you.Or his long suffering bride.

When I say look at the picture for a while I meant a couple of minutes.Really look at it.It's on the cover of a book I have right here.I look at it quite a bit.It inspires me.There's one of Freud that's very similar except that it's even more depressing.

Same to you Bernie and to you all. We've had some good fun with wande's thread. So let's hear it for wande the man with the magic thread.
