Leaving for Hawaii to spend time with my sister and her husband for one week, and to warm up our bones. I wanted to spend a few days in Maui, my father's birthplace, but my wife said, "next time."

My wife is across the street at our neighbors to let them know we're going to be gone for the week, but we happen to be living in one of the safest cities in the country. That's according to the San Jose Mercury News, it's now third year in a row. We used to live in Naperville, IL, which is also another safe city. That was a few lifetimes ago when I worked for Florsheim Shoe Company in Chicago.

That's why we're bring our jackets with us! We'll be in Honolulu, and the forecast looks decent. It's going to be between 73 degrees and 79 degrees; comfortable.

Yes, you did. Normally, at over 70 degrees, I don't worry, but it gets a bit cooler in the evenings.

Roger isn't evil, because I never thought that when reading his posts. He and I are about same age, so our concepts about many things are pretty close.

I'm all packed, and ready to go! Must get up by 5am for our 7:05am flight from San Jose International Airport to Honolulu. My sister and her husband will pick us up at the airport. Really looking forward to spending one week in Honolulu, Hawaii.

PS.. Don't mind the road rage, trigger happy policemen, and city officials who don't know how to fund a rail project.

Just a brief note; there have never been harsh feeling between glitterbag and myself. Sometimes it may look that way, but it just isn't so.

I know, Roger. I don't remember when I ran into glitterbug, but it's been a few years, and established somewhat of a a2k friendship. She invited us to DC, and I invited her to San Francisco. Maybe, some day....
