Tres, I thought you would get the point, when I said you might possibly be like a guy who altered my philosophy in life for the better.
...Thanks you guys for getting it, and trying to help interpret.
Booman - I'm sorry if I didn't get it. I thought I read what you wrote carefully, and I tried to offer a positive response.
I think there are probably white people who have had enough bad experiences with black people that they feel justified in assuming they will have bad experiences with all black people. That their prejudice may be backed by personal experience makes it no less a prejudice to me.
All I can offer you is my opinion. If you can find nothing in it you can use, I'm not out anything for having offered it and I hope you don't feel you've lost anything in considering it. It does sadden me to think you took it the wrong way, but I trust you to know what messages you can and cannot use in your life. I'm just another person like you, trying to find his way, and stopping from time to time to tell someone else what I think it is I'm learning as I go.
(That means that everything I think I know may be wrong.)
Maybe I do wear rose-colored glasses, but all things considered, I'm going to keep them.
Regards,
