I adore 'The Hussies!' You never fail to surprise me Dear Lady.

Let me say Cyracuz Old Boy, I am delighted to know you are here. Your quite a character ! SPIFFING !!! That has to be a compliment !
Mathos, I am so glad that I used esperanto. Now if I were certain of the meaning, I could give you a proper response, but for now you must be content with my explanation of a "fake" book. Our piano player used to get them all the time, complete with melody line and chord changes. Some even have guitar fret changes. I'm guessing at your quote, but somehow it is reasonable to assume that it must be that Zimmerman guy. I'm not certain if you are familiar with Hank Williams or Hank Snow, but while Williams sang like country, he wrote like a prince. Hank Snow, on the other hand, did both equally well. I have never heard Bob Dylan sing a country song, so I really can't comment.
Amazing, isn't it, how a simple house wife can become a loose woman through the art of a pejorative.
"The 'fake Zimmerman ?'That might stir a nest or two in here ! You don't expect it to run like clockwork for them do you Letty?
Your cheating heart,
Will tell on you !
That Hank Williams ?
A pejorative 'simple housewife.. I never thought they could get any worse than my vision of a housewife.
Hair in curlers, coloured scarf fastened over the top, it never masks the front bobbin, a dead Marlborough hanging from the right side of the mouth, last four days breakfast & elevenses stains marring her sloppy-joe, the pink slippers with tainted white fur nestling around their uppermost contours.Scrubbing, washing & ironing done a sherry with cider swilled down by the gill. Whoa, you alarmed me Letty !
Now Zimmerman, he'd be concerned too!
"There must be some way out of here," said the joker to the thief.
"There's too much confusion, I cant get no relief."
Bonne nuite Ma Cherie !
Panzade:-
Freud spent his early years in a small town where only a few were Jewish so there might be similarities.Dylan's early history has been written about a good bit.Toby Thompson's book is my favourite but it is hard to find now,People don't sell them much.I found mine at a swap meet.
Mathos- you're making a bit of a noddy of yourself with your insistence on the family name.
You do know I suppose that Dylan is basically Russian.
The key is Frank.

Whoops!Sorry folks.
This confounded techo stuff.

Disconnect these cables
This place don't make sense to me no more
Can you tell me what we're waiting for
Senor.
Yes, Mathos, you are one for strange delights. I didn't quite get that spiffing part though. A compliment? Thanks, I think...
Dylan and country music, to the best of my memory, the only guest appearance of a performing Dylan on commercial t.v. was on the Johnny Cash show when Dylan and Cash did a duet of this Dylan song from his Nashville Skyline album:
If you're traveling in the north country fair
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline
Remember me to one who lives there
For she was once a true love of mine.
Well, if you go when the snowflakes storm
When the rivers freeze and summer ends
Please see for me if she's wearing a coat so warm
To keep her from the howlin' winds.
Please see from me if her hair hanging down
If it curls and flows all down her breast
Please see from me if her hair hanging down
That's the way I remember her best.
Well, if you're traveling in the north country fair
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline
Please say hello to one who lives there
She once was a true love of mine.
If you're travelin' in the north country fair
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline
Remember me to one who lives there
She once was a true love of mine.
The dillon character he nicked it all from guthry how did he avoid the draft as well. no good bean a hero with a geetar if'n yer cant support yer country

I am pretty sure that Dylan appeared on TV now and then in the very early years. I know for a fact that he was on some talk/interview show once, because I have seen a clip of him making fun (deservedly) of the host.
A good question guys. I would have thought that Columbia Records, in order to market Dylan would have sent him on some commercial TV. Of course he soon dropped off the radar map after the bike accident.

Spendius Dear Boy, Zimmerman is no more Russian than I am ! He was born and nurtured in The US of A ! Not Moscow. End of matter ! Darwin would say we are all basically apes, however, we do not swing about in trees. There is little, if any productive purpose in your acerbic reactions to my insistence on using his correct name. The onage attitude is totally in-appropriate, you vaunt your knowledge on Zimmerman with excellent style, please adhere to the topic instead of meandering around and shilly shallying like my Vavasour might well do. Your knowledge and sensible approach is saluted anything else is frowned upon. I hope I have made myself quite clear. Cyracuz was of a similar vein until recently, now we are making progress lets keep the cylinders operational. Have you ever seen Zimmerman in concert Spendius?

By the way Mathos, I would think that a man with your sense of pride would make some effort to learn the mechanics of the quote button.
I'll be standing by in case you ask for my assistance.
Dyslexia, excellent words, I have no record of them in 'Jackson's collection' so I shall certainly print a copy of your rendering. Thank you Sir!
Drowl !! Welcome to the debate. I rather think he had great farsight and sense, (As did Clinton and many others) in avoiding LBJ's apocalypse in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos! Nothing purposeful was served in any American or other occidental being there ! In fact the misery, heartache and destruction of America's good name was catastrophic. Obviously, neither Mr Bush nor 'Our Tony' took heed of the lessons which should have been learned there either.

Point taken Panzade, I have noticed the problem ! I rather think it could be my equipment, it was working satisfactory earlier on, now however ! Your assistance would be welcomed with humility 'Old Chap' Thank you !
Your response reveals your underlying humility. A trait that is in short supply in these forums.

Drowl, welcome to A2K and this debate in particular. I rather think Zimmerman expressed great farsight and common sense. As did Clinton, and many, many. others to avoid LBJ's apocalypse in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos! Nothing purposeful was served by any American or other occidental being there! Obviously, neither Mr Bush or our own 'Dear Tony' took heed of the lesson's which should have been learned and digested from that particular episode in America's history.
Panzade, thank you for your comments. I noted your gentlemanly conduct along side your 'wry' sense of humour, maintain it Sir, they are plausible attributes. As for myself I believe 'the tongue of good reports' to be in my favour.
