David Bowie - Song For Bob Dylan
(written by: David Bowie)
!
From the album "Hunky Dory"
Oh, hear this Robert Zimmerman
I wrote a song for you
About a strange young man
called Dylan
With a voice like sand and glue
His words of truthful vengeance
They could pin us to the floor
Brought a few more people on
And put the fear in a whole lot more
So, carry on with lola.
Luscious Lips Lette, how joyful you have made my day. I have missed you ! Thank you, for the above, I have no memory of the same, it is appreciated.
Ah, Here she comes,
Here she comes,
Here she comes again.
Splendid vocabulary, Multiple ? extremely satisfying no doubt!
I rather like Bowie too, a decent entertainer !
Ah Lola has raised the hairs on her neck against me, she defends 'Poor Spendius' I feel she is supporting a lost cause.
In a sketch on Saturday Night Dead! with "Guthrie played by that Carradine fellow"-in hospital the nurse says to Woody-
"That fellow Dylan is here to see you again.Should I send him away?"
Woody(Carradine) replies-
"Let him in.He makes me laugh...it takes a lot to laugh."
The report in Wicked Messenger goes on-
"Many of Guthrie's responses become the title of later Dylan songs."
Sorry about the repetition of "fellow".They are not my words.I try to avoid repetitions.I learned that off Flaubert which is not suitable reading for Alabama residents in their Sunday best and their shirts tucked into their underpants.
It must be tough to get somebody in Woody's condition to laugh.Dylan is very funny though.
It takes a train to cry.
In the June '59 issue of US girlie mag.Escapade (do you use girls just for escapades)there was an article about the University of Minnesota (which Timber will translate if you ask him).
In the mag.there's a pic. of 5 girls at the Ten O'Oclock Scholar (that's a Japanese joke). It is of a "Homecoming Queen Jane Quale with her attendants".
"When your mother sends back all your invitations
And your father to your sister he explains
That you're tired of yourself and all of your
creations
Won't you come see me Queen Jane
Won't you come see me Queen Jane.
Lola:-
I'm astounded that your literary gumption would confuse and confound ejaculatory blurts with my considered and careful contributions to your joy.Astounded!
It is those legs again. They have drawn in another psychopant.

Dear Me ! Luscious Lips Letty,
Don't encourage Spendius, he will only become inordinate....again!

I can just see Lola standing there, akimbo! "Mathos was right after all" she bemoans, "Spendius is a self creator of his own melees, well this time, .........I'm going to be the one to knock him down!"
Go get him Lola !!! Literary gumption, 'ejaculatory burps'
Wow! You got balls after all Spendius !
Dear Lola,
As an afterthought, you could of course use your coquettish talent on Spendius, ( He comes across as a sucker 'in waiting'.)
Hang on to your knout Lola !
They have olio's of choice down Carnaby Street!
This 'Coffee Shop' of yours, I rather suspect being a guise for the celebrations and worshipping of Dionysius. Orgiastic revellings under the Manhattan Sky Line, How do I apply for membership? Mind You! I wouldn't appreciate being 'blackballed' by Spendius and his henchmen. Could they be instructed to abstain, on the grounds 'conflicts of interest?'.............Let me know.

I LOVE BOB DYLAN!!!!!
One of my favorite songs by him is Hurricane. Anyone seen Dazed and Confused!?!? AWESOME MOVIE!! Same with Pulp Fiction and Fear loathing Las Vegas. If you haven't seen one of those movies I RECOOMEND
Of all the films you mentioned fear and loathing in las vegas is my favorite. It's a goooood film.
Does anybody know the song Legionairre's Disease?
It is supposed to be a Dylan song recorded by the Delta Cross Band in Denmark.Billy Cross is on it.
He's the long blond lead guitar fiend on the '78 tour.
I saw him at Blackbushe along with 200,000 other mugs.He was on that amazing slow Tambourine Man and the riveting Changing of the Guards.
The song was performed on Swedish Tv on 23.3.81. and previously at a '78 soundcheck.
Some say it was radiation, some say there was acid on the microphone,
Some say a combination that turned their hearts to stone,
But whatever it was, it drove them to their knees.
Oh, Legionnaire's disease.
I wish I had a dollar for everyone that died within that year,
Got 'em hot by the collar, plenty an old maid shed a tear,
Now within my heart, it sure put on a squeeze.
Oh, that Legionnaire's disease.
Granddad fought in a revolutionary war, father in the War of 1812,
Uncle fought in Vietnam and then he fought a war all by himself,
But whatever it was, it came out of the trees.
Oh, that Legionnaire's disease.
