Don't even ask but at dinner tonight Mr. B explained to me that men do not use the opening in the front of their underwear when they pee.
According to Mr. B they slip the waistband down and pee over the top.
Say what?
Why do they have that flap thing there then?
Is this just a stupid gimmick?
Is Mr. B some kind of weird pee'er?
Please explain!
Thank you.
Peeing through the flap feels more natural. Don't want that waistband pressing on my you know whats.
Thank you for being brave enough to step up and state your preference, bobsmyhawk!
I'm witholding judgement on Mr. B's weirdness until I have more results but I always suspected he was a bit...... strange.
It's all about convenience. Flap is quicker and easier.
I agree with Lion. Whatever is easier.
Different underwear can mean a different technique. If I struggle with the flap then its over the top. Of course some don't even have a flap.
He probly wears briefs. Sometimes those are easier over the top. I'll never tell how I do it.
It is possible that Mr B is a thong kind of a guy.
(That should make you wonder about him.)
Depends on whether they're boxers or briefs.
For other fun facts about how men pee... test your men's room etiquette.

Mr. B is correct. (Besides those rare exemptions, Edgar noted.)
Men aren't "designed"
a) to pee sitting,
b) to use the opening.
Period.
Most of the time, I wear the same type of skivvies favored by Jesse Ventura. On other occasions, if I'm gonna be outdoors for any length of time in really cold weather, I'll wear full thermal longies. "Over the top" just ain't a consideration either way. If I do wear shorts, its briefs, and I find shovin' the leg openin' aside much more convenient than fiddlin' with the flap.
I'm stunned. I NEVER use the flap - ALWAYS over the top. Interesting.
<A quick overview came to the result, btw, that I don't have any underwear with an opening in the front at all.>
I have just come to the startling realization that I have been wearing my underwear backwards all these years.
I always thought that was extremely inconvenient when I was taking a dump.
I think we have a winner.
It's over the top for me...too time consuming to fiddle with the flap...and the flap is too small generally to unleash the beast quickly
Bear and 2 male Cubs are over the top.
(But, we knew that about Bear, right?)
Boomer, how's the little one learning to pee? Taking after Mr. B?
I'm gonna buy the lad some skivvies, and find out what he does. (other than scream about the concept of skivvies
)
I really had not considered that underwear styles may have an impact on the choice of flap or over.
Interesting.
And I wondered if anyone manufactured underwear without the fancy tailoring of flap when it is not required. Perhaps I will start having underwear imported from Old Europe!
Mo likes to wear his underpants backwards so he is an "over the top" kind of boy. I really prefer that he sit as his aim is not yet well developed. Luckily he has not hit on the back-flap use like Gus. I do enough laundry as it is.
At least now I know that Mr. B is not alone in his over the top style.
When I told him I was going to investigate his style he was a bit concerned about my safety, thinking I was going to start frequenting men's rooms around town, standing at the urinals with a trusty clipboard recording pee styles of Porlanders.
I thank you all for saving me from real world task!
