The game was on in my local pub, which customarily mutes the sound to accommodate non-fans. Since Smith's performance preceded the game, I wondered if he was singing the national anthem. I proceeded to tell people that he WAS singing it, and the reaction tended to be, "No! You're kidding.") I replied that I was serious and that, though I'm no flag waver, I did think all the bumping and grinding was a bit much...

Great times...

1. Game one was friggin' awesome.

2. Pistons forgot to show up for game two; either that or the Spurs are about to sweep their way to the title.

3. 92% of teams up 2-0 in the finals have gone on to win. I don't think that's a very legitimate stat.

A fact's a fact, to be sure, but should the Pistons rebound and tie the series at 2 - which is pretty much what HAS to happen now if the Pistons are to have any chance - like I said about the Miami series, 2-2 is exactly where a good series should be.

All the Spurs did was hold serve; you're supposed to win your home games. Hold off on the "it's over" attitude, at least for now - next three in Detroit. Anything can still happen from here. (Well, at least that's the beer/optimism talking Smile.)

GO PISTONS!

The problem is that the Spurs aren't playing Piston basketball . I am starting to get a little down....If they don't win this next one, you can bet the title will be leaving Detroit. Sad

I'm really pissed that I didn't get to see that Heat-Pisons series...from what you guys were saying about it, it must have been a classic.

Hopefully this one will start to become worth watching sometime soon...

If a series doesn't start until the home team loses a game, this one could be over before it's begun...

Game 5 is extremely important for both two teams.
I guess the one who gets the 5 gets the final...

The Spurs were not playing their game. What happened to the determination in game 1?

It seems Manu is hurt worse than was admitted. It's a lot easier to double team Duncan with Manu neutralized.
