Pistons fan here. With the playoffs right around the corner, thought we could use an NBA thread. Of course, I have nothing to say right now  ...

But it will be here if and when we need it. Exclamation

Good idea. We've got some roundball addicts. I've been a fan of the Heat for a decade now and hope they can challenge the West.

Grew up with the Kings (when they were HORRIBLE), so they're always the sentimental favorite. Won't be going far, but I don't think the Webber trade ultimately will hurt them as much as most of the analysts immediately said it would. In some ways, I think they function better as a team now, though they've been struggling to find offensive flow and figure out defensive rebounding responsibilities. (Wonder when Miller comes back...)

As a NorCal kid, though, I'm mainly a Laker-hater.

Love the playoffs. Iverson and C-Webb are takin' it all this year...

As someone who's watched him in the playoffs for years -- C Webb won't get 'em there...

Haha...Webb SUCKS right now.

AI isn't taking it all either.

Most likely, it'll be Miami. Watch Boston though, they're going to be tough to beat in a 7 game series.

...okay, maybe not, but watching Iverson in the playoffs is one of my favorite things ever. He turns it up like nobody else in the league. And he's never had anyone like C-Webb to help out.

Saw Wade for the first time in the tourney a couple of years ago, and I couldn't figure out what the hell he was doing at Marquette.

LOVE watching the dude against Kobe. Kobe tries to talk to hi and go at, and Wade looks away, and comes back with a steal or a dunk or an oop to Shaq. Kid's got no fear at all.

Patiodog, I agree completely. If I could only remember how to spell his first name...Dewayne? Dwaune? Aah, screw it, I'll just call him "badass".

I grew up in a Celtics house, but I live in Chicago now so I'll route for the Bulls. At least they're worth watching again.

Dwyane. Thought it was a persistent typo at first, but its hung on, so I guess that's the way his mama spelled it.

I like Detroit actually. Just not enough to care if they win. He he he...

Well, frankly, I don't "care" if they win either. We got a title - our third in my lifetime - and that's plenty. I'm just pointing out to take them lightly and just HAND Miami the East is a bit premature. They've got a damn nice team.

The Iverson-Webber combo is nice, if Webber decides to grow some balls.

Personally, I hate the guy. As a Michigan fan, he's responsible for one of the worst moments of my life; and then he dissed the Pistons in free agency a couple of years ago. Could have been him and Grant Hill (though we'll take the alternative Smile).

I actually kind of like the Sixers, though. Always have.
