Is it too soon to think about how the Heat will handle Duncan?

You know I'.m teasing Omar...but you've got to admit the Pistons uncharacteristically lost their cool in the fourth quarter...a rare sight.

Well, you can tease & won't hear a peep from me. I'm more than "concerned" about the Pistons advancing. For the first time this year, I'm preparing for the worst case scenario. Except for my growing admiration for Wade, I'm virtually speechless.

There is a bright side to this for me, I believe expecting the Pistons to gather themselves & throw together a few more composed outtings isn't irrational. It's just teetering on the line between reason & 'faith' that's got me all sour.

I'm not a fairweather fan. We've got Larry Brown, at least for this season, & I do have 'faith' in him. I believe he'll turn my frown upside down--or my 'down' side 'up', depending on which context is important....

Nothing worse than a fan that roots only during the good years...and I know you're not that. Larry Brown is probably the best coach right now so I expect him to rally Detroit.
To those who whispered sweep after the first game: They shut down the Pistons in the 4th quarter the other night in Detroit, WITHOUT Wade.
Also, I didn't realize how many assists Shaq was getting when Detroit double-teamed him.

The Bosox had no chance against the Yankees at 0-3, too. (Don't think Phoenix has a prayer, though.)

Down 2-1 is nothing to worry about. Pistons were down 2-1 to the Pacers last year in the conference finals, and down 3-2 in the semi's; we all know that.

That being said, it sure ain't 'good' to be down 2-1 either. As a Piston fan, you just shrug and watch. They could win the series 4-2 or go down in five: that's the simple fact. But does it matter? Of course not. Win or lose, you get to watch your dogs make the NBA's final four for the third year in a row.

GO PISTONS! Ain't nuttin over yet!

wondering how much of an effect the coaching upheaval will have on game 4.
(how can it NOT be a distraction?)

Last night I thought Brown was a great coach. Today...I'm not so sure. How callous to announce that he's moving on while his team is fighting for their lives in the semi-finals. I have a lot of respect for the Pistons, unfortunately their coach is not included.

That's right! The Red Sox... whatever happens in the next game, I'll applaud Phoenix, and Spurs but I think Phoenix after last game, might, just have a chance.

LB story is strange. Word in these parts is that if the Pistons lose tonight, they could fire Larry Brown as soon as tomorrow. Personally, I don't think that will happen; but yeah, talk about a distraction.

Another thing I wanted to mention about this series, I wonder why no one had the balls to say this was going to be a great series (myself included). All three games have been tied with under 6:00 to go. Both teams have lost a home game, and should the Pistons hold serve tonight, it's 2-2, which is exactly where we should expect a series like this to be.

From a Piston perspective, this ain't the Sixers; for the Heat, this sure ain't the Wizards. Get ready to go seven.

GO PISTONS!

2-2. Ironic how all the attention (not so much in this thread, but around the country) has been on the other series; this is the good one, idiots!

hey, iverson's fan here. But sixers has been out of the playoffs just after the first round.iversion is worth the MVP value but it's still not enough even competitive enough for them to win although sixers recruited Webb as the best partner for iverson, finally it failed.
basket needs the team cooperation,it really demands the bench points besides the leader players' conspicuous performance and other starters' useful support.
come back to the current finals, spurs is doomed to elimminate suns, but we still hope the miracle happens when suns edged spurs in the game 4 to avoid being swept and broomed.hopefully suns can play even better than their 3 consecutive loss to spurs including two home play.suns' thundering and lightening aggressive attack is really appreciated and eye-catching,it's the symbol of attack team in NBA but poor defence is their key weakness.
referring to the east finals,i just heard the news pistols evened the game with 2:2 to challenge the game 5 in Heats' home arena.the two teams tied so tightly, i guess they will face the game 7.

With Shaq and 'Lonzo in foul trouble early, the Pistons wisely worked the paint. Alas , the Heat had no one to block the middle. This IS a great series.
