Hi Rex,

I have received no PM's nor transmitted any recently.
My question was specific as to: "How do you propose your "giants" could "spontaneously" appear?" of which I note you have still not answered.

In particular given that there nothing that I know of that can "spontaneously" appear (except in the quantum world) and given that there is no evidence for the "giants" you claim.

Or are you alluding to giant quantum events Laughing

I do not believe the Bible is taking about physical giants (if that is what you are referring to) but very wise if you want to call them sages or oracles that lived who were very powerful and some were exceedingly evil... Many were sealed with the same "mark" as Cain...

Or are we talking about sightings of modern day giants?

Yes I know. Science will be used to mans own will as will Religion. I am pointing out the foolishness of using evolution as a science to disprove god.

Like the foolishness of using Religion to disprove science. It's the argument of kids in the schoolyard.

Basically, you've got the bible-thumpers running you in circles here. Ese, Beaner . . . only the bible-thumpers claim that science wants to disprove the existence of god--it is not to be considered the agenda of any scientists, with the exception of a scientist who was also a militant anti-theist or anti-religionist, which only be coincidental to being a scientist. It is, however, extremely important to the propaganda of the anti-evolution crowd to get as many fervent believers in god as possible to also believe that science has as its primary objective to disprove the existence of god. It seems they've suckered you, as well.
From where i'm standing I could swear I'm standing still and others are running in circles.

Faith in science?Faith in religion?

Take a look at what forum we are in. Laughing Where talking about Faith not science. The author of this topic fears science is a threat to his faith. I am arguing from the point that evolutionist are in the "Spirituality & Religion" thread to challenge his faith with science.

OK how many people here believe in evolution and god?

Nobody?

The giants in question were brought up in a prior post *by you* when you make claims about there being some sort of human or pre-human physical giants at some point in the past.

Hard to make a case that a fish could get along fine without a fin he uses for swimming in his current habitat (the water) , but derives a greater benefit from a stub of an appendage that is in the initial stages of formation and that has no apparent use in his current habitat (the water), but may have use in his future habitat (on land).

Unless said fish is living in a shallow swamp filled with submerged tree limbs and sticks which the fish must climb through or swim through to escape predators. In which case a stubby little strong fin would be quite a benefit to survival. And then of course, we have Mudskippers which also do quite well with transitional fins, even today.

If I mistook your intention I am sorry... I am suspicious sometimes of people... (Maybe because I am too gullable and trusting.)

I brought up the post about the giants on the earth because I wanted to see what people had to say about them but I personally believe that is a misinterpretation of the intended word usage translated Giant...

So I do not believe in man/woman giants (of the Bible) other than the same really tall people we have today...

The giants (of the Bible) have to do with spiritual giants not physical giants(in my opinion).

In regard to evolution
But like a goldfish you give someone a big enough area and they will grow to fit the environment. This takes hundreds of thousands of years to happen in most cases. Cats/dogs have morphed in size many times over the millions of years...

There is no archeological evidence whatsoever of giants in the last 6000 years other than the bones of the neanderthal that biblical writers could have unearthed...

I still stick to my original theory that the Bible is talking about spiritual giants and not physical giants... (kind of like me... a spiritual giant) hehe

Well there is still hope for you Amigo...

You should believe in yourself if you expect others to...

True humans are already making this earth/world unlivable with science and religion I surely agree with you...

Science and religion both need a conscience overhaul...

Be a lamp unto yourself. I don't expect nor do I want anybody to believe as I do. That would be Arrogant. The only thing I advocate is free thinking.
