Frank is very knowledgable about the bible; all I can do is to post verses from the bible that are contradictory in "human" nature and ethics. It means that any book that purports to have miracles and gods are rated the same as comic books; it ranks as not having logic and lacks common sense and not worth the paper it's written on..
Frank on the other hand has studied the bible, and understands all the nuance of the messages - it's contradictions, errors, and the portrayal of a god that is spiteful, revengeful, teaches homophobia, supports slavery, and kills innocent people for the sin of a few.
Any god that tells its followers to kill everybody that doesn't believe as they do is a psycho. Any god that will promise to let unbelievers burn in hell for eternity is no loving god.
C.I.,
There you go again. Why don't you just go back and get that post of yours I called hypocritical and explain it to me? I haven't forgotten it. I won't forget it. You continually tell us that we are psycho, etc. for believing what we believe. Is this the kind of religious freedom you want to offer everyone? This is what you get so up in arms for? You just seem to want what you want and you don't seem to care what anyone else thinks, unless of course they feel the same way you do.
I may have had run-ins with Frank, but I will tell you this. He is man enough to admit when I even make a slight point. He is man enough to admit when he may have gone overboard on a post with someone.
I am with Intrepid on this one, you are not in Frank's league except for the fact you don't believe in God. And at least Frank admits he just doesn't know. You just flat out tell us there isn't one!
You say you want religious freedom for everyone? In my opinion, you are one of a few who don't want religion period. At least others on A2K recognize that we all have a right to our beliefs and understand that their beliefs shouldn't be forced down our throats anymore than ours should be forced down their's.
