Notice how Creationists tend to be mostly religious people and almost never biological scientists? They are the ones that cannot understand the scientific evidence because it uses all sorts of strange jargon and gene names. Not understanding the proof is equal to not having proof.

Which is why most all Creationists are fundamentalists. Don't have to decide; don't have to think; don't have to interpret; don't have to know anything except what's in the Bible. Just accept everything the Bible tells you, believe and it's instant heaven.

Science is as divine as religion.
What is really bad it is the ambition, self gratification, expectation of rewards and celebrity of some individuals in these matters.
The totallity of culture is divine otherwise...

I don't know what you mean. Would you mind stating this in more prosaic terms?

Nowhere is division and disharmony more prevalent than on Planet Earth. No other planet of our system is so immersed in competition, so ignorant of the benefits of co-operation. Nowhere else is seen the results of such folly: anxiety, illness of all kinds; wealth and poverty side by side, insecurity and war.
Why should this be so? Why should the inhabitants of this most richly fertile world quarrel so over its ownership?
To some extent the answer lies in the very richness of Earth's resources. Earth is the most densely material of worlds and for long ages men have been in thrall to its material wealth, and have fought and competed for its control. This has brought the human kingdom (and with it the animal) to the verge of destruction. With the nuclear bomb man has brought his very existence into jeopardy.
What we need is co-operation,justice,confidence.

"What we need is co-operation,justice,confidence."

Looking for heaven on earth is unrealisitic. There will always exist inequities.

Could that be because no other planet in our system has life?

Don't confuse Jesus with petty details, Xingu, he's got a message to get across . . .

Human pride is at the root of our low "rank" in the system.
We are far behind uranus, saturn,jupiter,mars,mercury,neptune...
There are "humans" on these planets, but they are so advanced that we can easely call them Gods!
Why we dont see them? They are not on the same density of the matter...
But they can see us very well and they help us in many ways!
This is pure solar solidarity.

See, Xingu, Jesus has a message to get out, and you're just trying--vainly--to throw stumbling blocks before his feet . . .

Market forces and commercialization are by their very nature competitive. The theory of market forces is based on the idea of supply and demand. If you organize an economy based on supply and demand, the interrelation between demand and supply will regulate the economic flow and make fair trading and fair economic relationship possible. It is based on a myth, because it presupposes that everybody can take out of the supply the amount equal to their needs, which is not the case.

The major nations, in particular the US, take out of the supply hundreds of times more of every possible commodity than they actually need. That is nothing but greed. Because they produce a lot, they think that they have the prerogative, the right, to use the vast majority, 83 per cent, of all the resources existing in the world. The demand is way above that of the adequacy of the supply, and therefore those who can make little demand, the Third World countries, have to make do with 17 per cent of the supply. The major thoughtform of competition comes from the US. Everything is done to maximize profits in the most efficient way. The most efficient way is to get rid of the highest overhead which is always the labour force who produce the particular commodity. That is what competition leads to, inevitably: commercialization. I can qualify commercialization more dangerous to the world than an atomic bomb. It is killing life at its source, which is human. It is based on competition and greed. Greed and competition are at the basis of the commercial and social life of America, and therefore, through its influence, of a huge section of the world.

spent today at a subcommittee debate on Intelligent Design legislation.
There were some really great questions that the sponsors of the bills were just left disarmed. The session has till Thursday , I hope. I dont think its going to come out of committee to be a major force to the Dover court case.

I've spent a good deal of time kicking around on Uranus. I must say it has a decidedly therapeutic effect. http://web4.ehost-services.com/el2ton1/lol.gif

Evolution is the movement by which life knows and expands itself, becomes aware of itself, and creates further, more involved and creative aspects of itself.

Evolution is part of that cosmic process by which everything which we call life finds expression in matter. There is tension between the creative process in matter and that which stands behind, which is not matter.

That tension sets in motion the creative process and gives opportunity for what we call God, the Creator, to expand and be creative. That is what we are doing. We are not different from that. We are God. Quite literally, we are God. There is not anything else to be but God.

Everything you see, feel, and experience is an experience, real, relatively speaking, or unreal, relatively speaking, of what we call God, the Creator, the "Lord". The Self gives the Lord the opportunity to create differentiated fragments which are imbued with every aspect of itself. Very Happy

Some people think they belong to the "superior" race, and others think they are god. It doesn't take any imagination to see the dichotomy of the racial bigot and those who think they are supreme planet creature; haughty.
