The important, verifiable point is that he shaped the discourse on the left through his two campaigns. He did that very effectively, against hell and high water, and I am grateful for that. He fought well and he keeps up the fight. But as he reminded us again and again during the campaign, it’s not about him. It’s about us.
I agree, it is totally unverifiable.
But it is my opinion...and that is what we mostly share here.
The policies for which he advocates are still closer to what I want...but there is no way I would want him to be the candidate. I would vote for him in a heartbeat, but
it is my opinion he would be the Barry Goldwater for this side of the political spectrum. Probably more so.
