Because a lot of election have been won with only 5% of the vote. If the Greens require the money from 5% of the vote to get to the next year, there in an insurmountable hole. It sure as hell didn't work for Ross Perot and he had more money than anybody. It didn't work for Sununu after he and his sister bought the the Independent Party. It sure won't work for question mark and the Greens.

Africa is her own worst enemy. The US and other countries have been floating Africa for decades. Someone on this thread prophetically mentioned that as the eyes of the world turn to terrorism, and possibly war, the charity that has kept them from complete despair will dry up.

Another bunch of people, I bet, who would like to hack us up because of our standard of living. (No, not everyone, but the majority.)

I had several beliefs based on ignorance. People who are satisfied in views like that don’t want to hear new information that conflicts with their beliefs.

I wanted to learn. I was glad to understand things as they actually happened, rather than what I’d been told or incorrectly assumed.

This is why many of my views have changed over time. I’m open to other perspectives and I don’t consider it a failure to adjust an opinion when you have a good reason.

How rotten I felt about some of those views was precisely why I went back to school to teach specifically in Title 1 schools. I feel great about it.
