Seriously, anything that gets in the way of Trump getting trounced in November should be avoided like the plague! Get it?!

Bernie Sanders is saying Bernie Sanders can’t win? Man, he is going to catch hell from Bernie Sanders supporters.

Yes.

Bernie supporters previously: We champion him because he is the only political figure who gets things right and the only one who has maintained integrity throughout his lifetime and the only one we can trust to lead us forward to progressive advances.

Bernie "supporters" now: We don't give a rat's ass what Sanders advises we do now or who we should vote for. Why should we?

People in the media keep acting like we owe (plus he kinda does) something to Bernie now that he quit. He lost because, after Nevada, the majority of democrats decided they didn't want Bernie Sanders to win as it looked at the time he was on traction to do. He does not have a mandate for M4A or any of us his many agenda would be policies. Let him try to pick a few more delegates, it won't mean anything. The most rabid Bernie supporter is never going to vote for Biden no matter how many concessions Biden gives over.

It might be smart to play for moderate Republicans disaffected with Trump.

The above is not meant to be divisive or criticism but my take on the state of things in the Democratic Primary.

I read somewhere, Biden is looking to Harris for a running mate. Smart choice, along with some others.

@MontereyJack,
The DNC must have been smart enough to calculate that they didn’t need progressives or they wouldn’t have treated our candidate how they did. I’m sure they wouldn’t repeat the mistakes of 2016.

You do you. I’m focused on strengthening a progressive party. That has nothing in common with the Democrat party.

We have to do more to ease the economic burden on working people. So today, I'm adopting two new policies to help deliver relief. As president, I will:

- Lower Medicare eligibility to age 60
- Forgive student debt for low-income and middle class families

@Brand X,
I do not believe him.
That small lip service stunt is due to him trying to get Bernie’s endorsement.

Progressives—

@uncorruptleft

Vote green:

"It will qualify the Green Party for recognition as an official national party, and for federal funding in the 2020 presidential race proportional to the amount of votes received — at least $8M to $10M. It would also secure ballot access..."

It is time to build a party to believe in.

@Lash,
Why don't you believe him? Neither of those ideas are progressives ideas, too moderate for Bernie Sanders who wants to forgive all student debt plus making college education completely free.

@revelette3,
Yeah, they’re conservative ideas.

Actually, Joe Biden came up with those ideas.

@revelette3,
Lash is going to do what we always knew she was going to do - smear the Democratic Party and try to convince others (weird because she's convinced absolutely no one) to vote elsewhere. That's always been her game. That and distraction. She's not happy with criticisms of Republicans nor Trump other than in some pro forma way. She can be ignored and the rest of us can get on with sharing knowledge and ideas.

@blatham,
If you think I’ll be silent while people say that Bernie’s ideas were Biden’s all along, you’re insane.

It’s also pretty ******* telling about you that you come into a progressive thread and tell the Centrists to ignore the progressive.

I’m quite happy for all of you Centrists to ignore the progressive thread.

You actually think you all may say anything you want and me responding is out of order.

Stay in your bubble.

You're right, they REALLY do think that. Cheese-eaters want no part of debate or discussion. Certainly no dissent from their gospel. They just want to attend never-ending propaganda sessions in a sorry attempt to convince themselves that they have the TRUTH.

We just found out from @fshakir that we're getting health care through the election in November... Bernie was adamant that we be covered.

Are you really trying to silence another poster here? I'll readily concede that tolerance of conflicting ideas and viewpoints has lately degenerated to a generally low level on this site. However such overt efforts to silence disagreeing voices are still happily rare. Isn't the constant approval of the small circle of rather slavish claques who attend your posts sufficient? Are you so insecure and unsure of your expressed views that you need to silence even those who often disagree with you ?

The gap between the liberal ideas you profess and your actual behavior here is substantial indeed.

How you twist things. He isn’t “silencing “ anybody. He’s saying he isn’t going to listen to her, and suggesting others don’t, as well. She is just as free as ever to say whatever.
