They just feel that his continuing to campaign as a Democrat after he's shown weakness at the polls jeopardizes our chance to defeat Trump in November.

No problem, Burnie aint no democrat to begin with. He's a "socialist democrat," he says.

He'll drop out of the Democrat race and just run as a third party candidate, I figure. He can't keep ripping off 10's of millions from his campaign fund unless he keeps campaigning, caincha see?

Will that hurt the democrats? Sure it will. Does Burnie give a ****? Hell, no.

In 1981, Sanders made an independent bid for mayor of Burlington as a self-described socialist. He won by 10 votes over the city's Democratic mayor and two other independents, and went on to win three more terms.

"The fact that someone lists themselves as an official independent, not even as a Democrat, except to run for the office of president, and then lists himself as a socialist — that doesn't fly," Biden said on CNN in the run-up to the South Carolina primary, which Biden ended up winning decisively.

"I am not now, nor have I ever been, a liberal Democrat," Sanders said in a 1985 New England Monthly profile, according to Politico.

Sanders continued to clash with the party locally, and his "goal was to destroy Democrats," Maurice Mahoney, the head of Burlington's Democratic Party in the 1980s, told Politico.

After his victory in the Nevada caucuses, Sanders tweeted, "I've got news for the Republican establishment. I've got news for the Democratic establishment. They can't stop us."

Burnie played the democrats bigtime. If they want to give him the nomination, then fine. If not...

Quote:
At this point, if he decided to go independent, he would have to petition each state to appear on the ballot. That means collecting signatures, paying fees, etc. He might be able to pull that off, he does have some time. Most states allow until July or August to submit the petitions

I might add that making the argument that "we're as bad as every other country" is not only incorrect — it's a total retreat from the delusional belief in American exceptionalism that stirs the hearts of selfish populists. Might be time to take off the MAGA hat if the greatest nation in the world, led by the Perfect Leader, can't step out in front and deliver the world from this pestilence. I thought we were supposed to be the one country that people around the world could look up to, where they'd find inspiration. But it turns out that the "shine" emanating from that "city on the hill" is just the flickering flame of a dumpster fire.

"Liberals" make a career out of trashing the US. It's just unfortunate that there are so many of those cheese-eating losers, eh?

You should be directing that question at McGentrix, not me. He's the one who's saying we're just as bad as everyone else.

He didn't have to. Tell me, how many countries around the world are enviously looking at the USA's response to covid-19 and modeling their response on ours? We're Number One! We lead the world with confirmed cases! USA! USA!! USA!!!

We lead the world in "confirmed" cases, because we have now surpassed S. Korea, the supposed "gold standard," and now lead the world in testing for it.

If you've only got 3 people, then you only need 3 to have one PER CAPITA.

We’re almost seven times their population. You’re not really this stupid, are you?

Perhaps he's just hiding his his intelligence and intellect? Other Trump supporters wouldn't be pleased to a member of the intelligentsia within their mob crowd.

Are you that stupid? Of course countries with larger populations will have more "confirmed cases," assuming they confirm anything at all.

Most countries could have a 100% infection rate, all confirmed, and still not have as many "confirmed cases" as the U.S., with only a fraction of that.

You'll have to try a little harder to "prove" that the USA is the worst county in the world, a virtual "dumpster fire," I'm afraid.

I didn’t say or suggest anything like the US is the worst country. That’s just a deflection from your stupid math.

You’re a drain. And I’m through for this week.
