@ehBeth,
Excellent. Still, I think her job application to Fox News will be well received nonetheless.

This night is going really well for Biden so far.

Still have the West to go though.

One cannot help but wonder how much today's voting reflects a distaste for the antics of that ugly portion of the Sanders contingent. I just don't know. Surely few voters are as bizarrely engaged as most of us here.

Turnout in Virginia nearly doubled compared to the 2016 Democratic primary

People are engaged. This is very good news.

There are a bunch of different ways to make this point but I like Pierce's take, as usual

It’s plain now that, for the moment, anyway, a large part of the Democratic primary electorate is hungering for a president that it can ignore for four or five days a week.

@blatham,
Not just people. The breakdown is looking promising for Democrats on the whole.. per the world of punditry.

@ehBeth,
Yes, sorry, I did mean Dem voters. It's very encouraging to see turnout reflecting 2018. They'll need exactly that in November.

One thing I'm noting in my twitter feed is too much dismissal of Biden voters as being without personal agency, as mere shadows of an "establishment". I think that very wrong-headed. Something more like what Pierce said above would be my take. People just being exhausted by the sickening, screeching drama and ugliness of Trump.

@blatham,
I think a little talked about truth in this whole period of jockeying between Biden and Bernie for who gets to wear the Democratic mantle this November is the visceral distaste for Sanders that a lot of people have - for Sanders himself, not his employees, not his followers. I think a hell of a lot of people see him as a self-righteous old man with borderline messianic delusions. I think people don't say it because he styles himself as the voice of the voiceless little guy, and who wants to attack Robin Hood?

Another thing -
I keep seeing people say "It's not Bernie - it's just a mean group of his supporters" who produce all that bile that everyone has encountered on the web. But Bernie is a smart guy and not naive - he knows damn well what kinds of stink his people raise, and he knows they would listen to him if they really thought he wanted them to cease and desist from their asshattery. But we go on from month to month and year to year with everyone knowing the bitter divisiveness in the Democratic Party comes mostly from Bernie's camp; and everyone (including Bernie) pretending that Bernie has nothing to do with it.

that likely has to do with your particular feed

I'm getting a very different view from my feed - tons of shout outs to fellow AfAms and college educated women - discounting the establishment and dissing anyone who suggests establishment "control"

Must be. I'm getting comments like you point to as well but fewer it seems. But also, I think I've become rather sensitive to people who use "establishment" so promiscuously.

I was reading something today and was reminded that Nancy is 80 years old this month. What an amazing woman.

God damn, we need more women in political leadership!

Sanders is running to be leader of the Democratic Party. If he can’t bring in enough new voters to wipe out its current structure, he needs to win over some of that structure. But Sanders’s staff wants to be at war with it, which helps Biden consolidate that support.

This was a very stupid mistake.

Democrats just flipped a state house seat in Maine by 15 points tonight that Trump previously carried by 8 points. Terrible news for Susan Collins.

That's going to scare the poop out of some people.

Don't held your breath. As the lyric goes in the Simon and Garfunkel song The Boxer:

Still a man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest
