@coldjoint,
I believe the jobs program to rebuild our cracking infrastructure will improve our country. Same with our quick response to climate change. Same with stopping the billions in profits for gd pharmaceutical CEOs and severely reducing the cost of medicine and healthcare. I could go on.

Individual people and our country as a whole desperately need these changes.

I don’t expect to change your mind anytime soon, but a Sanders presidency will lessen the crap in all of our futures.

Sanders is definitely getting a bunch of stuff right as regards the contests for candidacy. Gotta hand it to him.

He's managed to set up an organization of funders, volunteers and supporters who are getting the job done. Not a small accomplishment.

It remains the case that I believe Warren would be very much the best choice to be an effective President but I don't always get what I want.

It's also the case that if Sanders begins to fail, Larry David can take over and that would be fantastic.

MSNBC'S CHRIS MATTHEWS FACES CALLS TO RESIGN AFTER COMPARING SANDERS' NEVADA VICTORY TO NAZI GERMANY'S DEFEAT OF FRANCE
By Khaleda Rahman On 2/23/20 at 4:55 AM EST

MSNBC's Chris Matthews is facing calls to resign after he compared Bernie Sanders' victory in the Nevada caucus to the Nazi invasion of France. Sanders won the Nevada Democratic caucuses with 47 percent of the vote, the Associated Press reported.

As the results came in and Sanders took an early lead on Saturday night, Hardball host Matthews claimed Republicans would release opposition research on Sanders that would "kill him" if he became the Democratic nominee for president. But Matthews said it was "too late" to stop him, at one point comparing Sanders' victory over other top Democratic contenders to Hitler's invasion of France.

More anti-Semitic smears against Bernie and his voters by MSNBC stooges

I think we’ll start a class action suit and every time property damage or altercations are carried out against Bernie supporters, we’ll sue msnbc

They support anti-Semitic propaganda on their network.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/team-bernie-blasts-chuck-todd-for-segment-likening-supporters-to-brown-shirts

Staffers from independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign were apoplectic on Monday night after MSNBC anchor Chuck Todd cited a conservative writer to liken Sanders’ supporters to “brown shirts.”

Discussing the latest developments in the Democratic race a day ahead of the New Hampshire primary, the conversation turned towards Sanders’ passionate base and how they would react to any potential ‘Stop Bernie’ movement from the Democratic establishment if former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign collapses.

After fellow MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell said there would be “hell to pay with the Bernie people,” Todd turned to a column written by The Bulwark’s Jonathan Last that argued that Sanders’ online army was similar to President Donald Trump’s and both used online attacks and trolling to pump up their candidates.

“I wanna bring up something Jonathan Last put in the Bulwark today,” Todd noted, turning to Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus. “It is about how—Ruth, we have all been on the receiving end of the Bernie online brigade—and here's what he says.”

“He says, ‘no other candidate has anything like this digital brownshirt brigade. I mean, except for Donald Trump. The question no one is asking is this, what if you can’t win the presidency without an online mob? What if we live in a world where having a bullying agro social online army running around popping anyone who sticks their head up is either an important ingredient for, or a critical marker of, success?’”

Brown shirts is apt in describing people like you. You are little or no different at all from the Trump fans chanting "Lock her up" and "Fake News! You're all Fake News".

The charge that criticizing Sanders is axiomatically an instance of anti-Semitism is not merely transparently idiotic, it is the worst sort of propaganda.

You are a despicable individual, Lash. Your comments come dripping bile.
You do nothing to promote Sanders or be helpful to his cause. And what you do only encourages readers to think poorly of him for having people like you anywhere proximate to him.

There's an excellent piece up at Vox that demonstrates as clearly as anything could that Chief Justice Roberts' claim that he sees the SC's role as merely "calling balls and strikes" is a deceit. This court and others have been made into conservative ideological bulwarks through design and through the strategies of the Federalist Society. The smarter conservatives are very well aware of this. They just think it's a good thing.
Quote:
Justice Sotomayor warns the Supreme Court is doing special favors for the Trump administration
The ordinary rules no longer apply when the Trump administration shows up in court.

...Until recently, it was extraordinarily unusual for the government to seek such a stay from the justices while a case was still winding its way through lower courts. As Sotomayor warned in a dissenting opinion last September, “granting a stay pending appeal should be an ‘extraordinary’ act. Unfortunately, it appears the Government has treated this exceptional mechanism as a new normal.”

According to a recent paper by University of Texas law professor Stephen Vladeck, “in less than three years, [Trump’s] Solicitor General has filed at least twenty-one applications for stays in the Supreme Court (including ten during the October 2018 Term alone)” — and Vladeck’s paper did not include the Trump administration's two applications in the public charge cases. By comparison, “during the sixteen years of the George W. Bush and Obama Administrations, the Solicitor General filed a total of eight such applications — averaging one every other Term.”...

Given what we know about the conservative project to capture the courts through inserting conservative ideologues and thus to produce outcomes which forward that ideology AND given McConnell's block of Garland (on a pretense he has already admitted he would not follow should a new seat open up) it is mandatory that a first act of any new Dem president should be the appointment of two new liberal justices. The right will scream. **** 'em.

Had to laugh. Looks like somebody places great store in the criminal spewing of anti-semitic hate that oozes out of MSNBC. They attack Sanders and create disgusting narratives about him and everybody who supports him.

No wonder you are so outrageously ignorant about what's happening in American politics. You line up for this establishment MSNBC swill at every chance.

No matter. The people are beginning to stand up for equality -- and fairness -- for regular Americans. Curs like Carville, Matthews, Todd, Reid and others are desperate to keep their corrupt money train running so they can continue to rake in millions a year for serving their billionaire owners--by keeping us divided and poor and living a second class existence.

What is despicable is referring to a man of the people and an outpouring of votes by a huge Hispanic bloc as the Nazis taking over France. Do you have a problem with Hispanics? They will definitely have a problem with your characterization of them.

The elites cannot bear regular people speaking out against them on Twitter as equals. They--and you--will have to get used to it.

Your brown shirt tactics to censor my speech will never work. Smile Why do you protect anti-semitism?

MSNBC's Chris Matthews Suggests Four More Years of Trump Might Be Better for Democratic Party Than Sanders Winning White House
"This is what happens when you and your network are in a complete panic-riddled meltdown."

As Sen. Bernie Sanders appeared headed for a decisive victory Saturday in the Nevada caucuses, MSNBC host Chris Matthews pondered whether President Donald Trump's re-election might be better for the Democratic establishment than the Vermont senator's multiracial, multigenerational movement taking over the party.

"I'm wondering if Democratic moderates want Bernie Sanders to be President?" said Matthews. "Maybe that's too exciting a question to raise. Do they want Bernie to take over the Democratic Party in perpetuity? Maybe they'd rather wait 4 years and put in a Democrat that they like."

Watch:
Matthews, who said on February 7 that he feared a Sanders presidency would result in mainstream pundits being executed in Central Park, made the remarks about 37 minutes before the caucuses began at noon Pacific time.

"This is what happens when you and your network are in a complete panic-riddled meltdown," said Intercept journalist Jeremy Scahill. "You say the quiet part out loud on national TV."

The remarks from Matthews, an MSNBC stalwart, were not the only instance of the network taking a jaundiced view of what was shaping up to be a big day for Sanders. Anchor Chris Jansing, reporting from Las Vegas, appeared to give a deep sigh at results showing large support for the Vermont senator among voters of color.

"Come on my fellow journalists!" tweeted Sanders press secretary Briahna Joy Gray. "Let's try to keep it together!"

Come on my fellow journalists! Let’s try to keep it together! https://t.co/z0qCS8eVQ3

— Briahna Joy Gray (@briebriejoy) February 22, 2020

Though most Sanders supporters and observers found Matthews' comments amusing, the campaign's national organizing director Claire Sandberg pointed out that the longtime MSNBC host's remarks hinted at a deeper, fundamental problem with the Democratic establishment.

"With families being ripped apart every day, tens of thousands of people dying from lack of healthcare every year, the window for climate action rapidly closing, and the future of our democracy at stake, they would rather have four more years of Trump than have Bernie," said Sandberg.
