@blatham,
I haven’t actually talked to ‘the Russians’ to ascertain their preferences. Have you?

I don't think there is anyone on this entire site other than perhaps Edgar who trusts you. It's a well-earned outcome. You are, as in this response, consistently dishonest.

Of course, not directly. Putin is not going to get on record supporting Trump... He's not stupid.

At Helsinki he was asked on live TV being broadcast all over the world if he wanted Trump to win, and if he had directed operatives to help him. He answered yes.
Did you not see that? Do you not think that counts as public record of supporting Trump?

@blatham,
I’m more honest than you are. I’ve never intentionally lied on this site. So, you think I’ve discussed this with ‘the Russians.’

But, I’M dishonest.

@Lash,
You’re a liar. He never suggested you talked to them. He just asked you how you think retweeting you would serve their agenda. That was your claim - the Russians retweeted you. You were trying to make a point. Why would the Russians retweet you?

You’re a liar.

The band of buffoons here have accused me of being in league with Russia. They say I parrot Russian views.

Did Blatham NOT ask you how that would help them?

But you made a post indicating that the Russians are tweeting you!

You, Lash are either living in twisted denial or straight up fibbing.

Whichever it is, it's ugly.

@blatham,
I guess it'll come from all corners, whatever the nominee. It's gona be a great muppet show. They'll impersonate whoever: people from the center, from the dems mainstay, from the extreme left, blacks and whites, men and women and everything in between. Even Kermit the frog will start to opine against the dem nominee with a strange slavic accent, once he or she's chosen.

Yes, that's precisely my argument. I think it's glaringly obvious.

It’s certainly fun to watch liberal commentators awkwardly try to acclimatize themselves to the reality that Bernie Sanders may well win the Democratic nomination.

It's hard to fathom how much things will change if Bernie wins. He will drive massive grassroots turnout, which will work to benefit down-ballot Democrats. His judicial and agency nominations will be like nothing we've ever seen. The entire Establishment apparatus will quiver.

None of the "But how will we pay for it?" questions are legitimate if those asking aren't also wondering why we keep green-lighting huge increases for an already bloated, audit-resistant defense department.

Here's the two sentences:

Quote:
She [Hillary] lost it herself through cheating and hubris. All the Russians did was retweet me and people like me who called her and the DNC on their ****.

First, to claim that retweeting Sanders' supporters on social media is all Russia did is about as dishonest as one can get.

So the question was put to her, "Why would the Russians do this? How would doing it align with their goals of causing mayhem in the American political system?"

Which is a question she can't answer in any clear or honest manner for the obvious reasons.

But the most brainless/dishonest (take your pick but I'm going with both) aspect here is the suggestion that Lash (and people like her) set the propaganda model that Russian trolling operations would follow. Lash is influencing the Russians. The Russians aren't influencing Lash.

@Olivier5,
Yes. There's actually a very interesting piece up HERE in the Washington Post's tech section on the Russian troll campaign to get rid of Marie Yovanovitch. Highly sophisticated and multi-faceted (try anything/everything/push what works) with the goal of maximal spread of the propaganda through, at the outset, insertions of misinformation in any number of online and press locations, etc. It's a longish read but it's very definitely stuff we need to know.

@blatham,
The report I read, psycho, is that the primary busywork of Russia Twitter was to exacerbate divisions that already existed in American society.

Therefore, they preyed on black/white divisions, rich/poor, Establishment Dem / progressive / Republican divisions.

Anybody tweeting anything lending to those divisions could have been used.
