Maggin--

Do you read your words and see how they sound meaningless? Its almost as if you've copied rhetorical sound bites down. Who is a crook and what is their crime? How does what they do compare to what others have done before them?

Are you really thinking about this--or falling in line with the hate-mongers from the crazier left half of the Democrat party?

The only lunacy here is the undying support for one of the worst pResident's in modern American history.

I'm looking at what he has achieved. The breakout of democracy around the world is miraculous.

I'm not just affixing my personal feelings to him. He is proving his point with action, and results.

No, the Middle East is proving that they are actually ready for change. And only time will tell.

But the spin will truly be enormous from the neocons to give Bush 100% credit for all of this.

Where's all the credit for the political factions demanding democracy in these regions? Where's the credit for new (and old) leaders changing their mindset? Where's the credit for the European Union, who's had a big hand in the Israeli/Palestinian negotiations as of late?

No, the neocons have decided that Bush is a genius.

Bush has achieved nothing. He has polarized a nation, run up HUGE deficits, started an unjust war, is trying to destroy SS, has gotten the world to hate us, and continues to sound like the simpleton he's always been. His complete lack of intellectual curiosity speaks volumes.

Meanwhile, hundreds of innocent Iraqis are being murdered by an insurgency that is getting more sophisticated with each passing day.

And wouldn't ya know it? Bin Laden has chimed in, asking the insurgency to target U.S. troops.

I though we were gonna get bin Laden dead or alive?

It's amazing how little credit you insist on bestowing on the actual people, and yet how much credit you insist on heaping on this idiot savant in the Oval Office.

I read my words and I stand by them. It would be easier to answer your question if you asked who is not a crook.

I consider myself an Independent Lash. I form my own opinions without the help of either party but especially the Republican party since it was so desperate that it selected a brain damaged moron to "lead" them.

There is not enough space on this forum to present a list of crooks & their crimes so I am not about to add your demands for comparing their crimes to people from the past.

I know you are dying to blame everything on Bill Clinton but you will just have to get over that one. The man has been out of office for over 4 yrs. It's your boy's mess and brother has he made a mess of everything he has touched!

Oh, the only hate mongers I have any contact with are the rabid right, in the name of Jesus, of course.

Breakout of Democracy? Where? That quagmire in Iraq?
Bringing Democracy at the end of a gun, while shutting down democracy in our own country.
What kind of Democracy is it that entire cities have to be shut down so his royal majesty (in his eyes) can pass through? What kind of Democracy is it that forces one own citizens behind fences miles from "public" meetings? What kind of Democracy is it that forces the voting public to sign loyalty oaths in order to gain admittance to those "public" meetings?

Some Democracy! This sounds more like Adolph Hitler every day of the week.

Dookiestix..... when king george wants to haul out Osama Bin Laden, it will happen something like the Saddam act, where he's been held for months until there is a need for a major distraction. Think SS voting perhaps!

Oh and I don't think it will be that hard to find OBL when the need arises. I think he is living in luxury on that pig farm at Crawford!!

And Lash, with a straight face says, "I'm not just affixing my personal feelings to him." & "Look at what he (HE) has achieved"......... (Yes, I added the HE in caps because you say it as though bu$h is some kind of god. Bu$h has done nothing but hide from reality the past 4 yrs and he's still doing a great job of that!

Did you read what Europeans news sources said about the great one on this most recent trip?

Oh dear, pardon me while I ROTFLMAO!

Here for you info is the most telling & my favourite comment about king george's European Propaganda mission.........................

About the only thing both Bush and Rice are proving is that they don't have a clue. They seem to be completely oblivious to the fact that the trans-Atlantic alliance is at the breaking point......................

The US media is out there, playing the game. Each word Bush utters is cast before the European audience like pearls before so many swine. The media boasts that Bush plans to "go beyond" the European leaders and seize the opportunity to chat with the "peoples" of Europe. The thousands of protesters are "disappeared" as if they didn't exist, and there is no mention of the iron bubble surrounding Bush as he rolls around in what is reported to be an unprecedented security lockdown.

How do you talk to a guy in a bubble while a sniper on a rooftop has you in his sights and you're being shackled and pepper-sprayed?

If the crude and ill-mannered Bush is aware of the strain he has caused throughout Europe; if he cares that the "peoples" of every corner of the world see him not only as a danger, but as a threat to their very survival, it doesn't seem to matter to him or to his pantleg-humping media courtiers.

Bush continues to slyly warn Iran, Syria, North Korea, China, et al, that some of the options on his table could be for them if they don't behave. And, later this week when he meets Vladimir "You call me President Bush and I'll call you Pootie-Poot" Putin, Bush will put him on notice that he will not tolerate any further backsliding in Russia's democratic reforms.

But, at least Bush seems to be enhanced with France.

When asked if he would invite French President Jacques Chirac to his Texas ranch, he joked, "I'm looking for a good cowboy."

The Bush/Chirac handshake was shown so many times from so many angles on CNN that it's surprising someone didn't suggest the two leaders get a room.

I think that if the middle east starts sprouting democracies all over the place, you have to give the jackass in charge a lot of the credit.

But he's still a goat f*cking moron.

I think Palestine is the true test. Lebanon was already a republic and they got most of their inspiration from the Ukraine and not from Iraq.

Which, the part about them getting their inspiration from the Ukraine? From interviews I heard on the radio news. But here's an example.

Too shrill. Too sound bitey. Too uninformed.

But, the weird thing is how you characterize my post to you-- I demanded? And, note how you pulled Clinton out of your ass in two seconds flat. Nobody mentioned Clinton. He's my cousin, for all you know. I think you'd do better to find out things about people before you just start assuming all manner of hoopla about them.

I just think if you're going to make bold statements--you should be prepared to back them up.

Who is the crook--what is their crime--and how does what you say about them compare to previous Presidents?

Oh wait. I see you are among those who believe Osama is squirreled away somewhere--has been for months, you say?....

Nevermind...

One thing you rabid righties can always be counted on to do is to demand that people you label as liberals or lefties answer your questions. I like to read and post opinions, perhaps accompanied bya quote or two. I have no intention to jump through your hoops.

If you are so anxious to see who is corrupt in government today, simply do a google search. Someone who tries to present himself as a bloody genius compared to anyone who posts an opposing opinion should be able to handle a little task like that. Type in George Bush, corruption, Dick Cheney, etc and watch thousands pop up.

Well among Maggie's other talents, she obviously doesn't know the process that gets something to come up a certain way on a Google search. (Which is why I rarely use Google to find anything.)

Lash is right though Maggie. Indiscriminately typing out insults, making unsubstantiated assumptions and accusations, and making unsourced or unproven declarations will not gain you respect here. Try toning it down a bit, present reasoned arguments without the insults, and see if it doesn't go better.

I totally agree with your last sentence.

As for the first one, don't hold your breath. No one has been able to "sprout" democracy in the ME in all these thousands of years. Somehow I don't expect king george to be able to do something that Moses and all the illustrious & genuine leaders who followed, him failed to do.

I know some of the religious fanatics like to think that the village idiot from Texas is some kind of god. I think he is what you called him. As for his religion I have this to say, "If george bu$h is a Christian, I am the Virgin Mother". Just ask my kids.
