(And he said it with his tongue firmly implanted in his teeth -- I might add being somewhat right is not conservative but moderate).

The scripts that would come up regarding a fictitious Republican administration would resemble the writing prose of a show like Hogan's Heroes.

Oooh, those wacky, crazy Republicans.

Hey, Kudos to the Republicans for retaining power and Bush also for an effective campaign that please 51% of the voters. That leaves the 49% who don't like him, of course, and the millions who don't vote, many of them disgusted or ambivalent with the state of politics in this country.

(Now let's see if they can do anything creative in the next few years other than take a round wheel and make it into an oval).

Still using the [whine] Bush won by 2% and has a mandate -- now that's creative. I'm underimpressed.

Let's see, there are no Tom Clancy nor Michael Crichton novels (who both descended into writing potboiler thrillers to sell to Hollywood) ever on any shortlist for a Pulitzer Prize or any other literary recognition. Creative is a relative word as it depends if what one creates is treasure or trash. There are but a small handful of politically conservative, talented, creative people who are recognized as producing great art and can't seem to think of one right now. Then again, I don't believe TV is great art in general unless its broadcasting a classic movie that is great art. The general fare of TV is mental fast food.

He sure is creatively reading and that's somewhat impressive considering the lack of talent.

Does that mean Hollywood can't come up with anything on their own. Writers have to dumb down their writing in order to sell it to Hollywood???

Whenever I doubt who he is, I just have to look at something like this. Quite a talent.

Well, I wasn't writing about me.

There are writers who dumb down their writing to sell to Hollywood? Golly, I would never have thought.

I think your conditions are vague and naive. Rolling Eyes

Edgar Allen Poe was a conservative. So was Jack London, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Horatio Alger, Frank L. Baum, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Washington Irving, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Herman Melville, and H.G. Wells to name a few.

We can play your silly game of "Well they didn't win a nobel prize for literature! In 1918!" or you can stop this nonsense about one side being more creative than the other. It's stupid.

Your list has no foundation and that's why you've posted no links. A drugged out conservative? The authors you list are assigned the lable of conservative by you. Sorry, but I doubt your credentials as an authority.
