We had a beautiful day at the beach today, grilled and had a very very good dessert....perfect day!

It isn't a painting - I took that with my cell phone camera....
it's taken at the beach and tennis club in La Jolla

I never take any notice of little girls FS. Mature, experienced, pink chubbies are more my style. I know they scare some people but I'm the intrepid explorer type who thinks that the South Pole and Mount Everest are kid's stuff.

It's been quiet around here for a few days as many of us celebrated the holiday. Is everyone back in town yet?

FS, I'm thinking we should have a light supper. Maybe salads? Something that would go with a nice Pinot Grigio? I do like fruity wines when the weather is hot. Anyone care to join me?

The salad is just what I wanted!

I was thinking this afternoon...why is it that once I finally got my desk cleared off, I couldn't think of anything I wanted to do more than take a nap?

I’m relaxing having a Vodka/Cramberry. I worked Monday and Tuesday, had yesterday off then went in this morning. It felt like another Monday!

But at least tomorrow is Friday!

That does look good, CJ!

Having slept through lunch today (!), I was really hungry tonight. I just had a Meatloaf Panini.

Wait! Let me describe it. It contained a thick slice of meatloaf, good German mustard, and a bacon-tomato relish that was really yummy. Very filling, too.

You're right, jcboy, today DID feel like Monday!

mmmhh I love meatloaf - typical feel-good meal. I hope it cooled down considerably in Tulsa - we actually had 62 F on 4th of July and all the tourists and beach goers were wrapped in blankets and heavy sweaters. They all could have stayed home for much better weather....
