@Eva,
We were shopping for clothes. Let's put it this way: we definitely don't share the same taste! Yes, please, another margarita!!

@CalamityJane,
I know what you mean. I'm a docent at an art museum. Two days ago I gave a tour to a group of teenagers. I usually have adults. When I asked them, "What is your favorite kind of art?" (so I could decide which galleries to show them), I got an unexpected answer. They said "tattoos."

I think I'll have one of those margaritas too.

@Eva,
Wondering what you said after all that.

A guy came into our gallery trying to show his stuff (we were open to that) and his stuff was good, fantastic water colors of horses..
we gave him/booked a solo show, and then never saw or heard from him again.
He was an itinerant tattoo artist/painter from Mongolia.
We both sprung for some drawings... he had bunches.

He disappeared, so we booked someone else for the month.
I still have his name, wish him well.

@Eva,
OMG Eva, that's funny and sad at the same time!!
I started dragging my kid to the art museums when she was in Kindergarten
and she loved the modern colorful paintings then - still does. Just yesterday while clothes shopping, we also explored Roy Lichtenstein and Peter Max in a small gallery here in our village. It's so easy to get kids interested in art!

@CalamityJane,
Yeah, funny & sad...I just asked them, "tattoos of what?" and took it from there. One liked dragons, so we saw Asian art. One liked tribal designs, so we saw African and Native American art. And so on....

You're right. It is very easy to interest kids in art.

So. It's Friday night. What was everyone else's week like?

@the prince,
The Prince is back in town!

Carlo, would you see that this guest is served promptly? Whatever he wants...

Sorry, I know you were hoping to talk to Jacques, Prince, but he's away on family business at the moment. He asked a trusted friend, Carlo, to fill in for him. Carlo doesn't know nearly as much about wines, but he is a very experienced bartender...and very discreet.

(psst...he's your type, and he's not taken...don't tell anyone!)

@Eva,
Actually the company was beyond good.

Can I whisper my request in his ear?

@Eva,
That guy is just trying to make you think you are engaging in a posh activity when you're actually just boozing.

He is very pretty though I must admit.

The cool trend here is to dispense with glasses and glug it from the bottle.

@the prince,
I think he would like it if you whispered in his ear! He's been staring at you out of the corner of his eye for the last hour.

Spendius is being particularly funny tonight, don't you think?

@Eva,
Thought I would change the music for you Eva, for you know a possible helpful mood... So that's my wine by the fire if you can ensure it remains there until I return.

Look at Bigsy, typical... Hogging the fire Eva.

A little late-night buffet sounds lovely. I didn't really want a whole meal...just a few nibbles. Anyone care to join me?

@Eva,
Me too!

Leaving some bamboo containers of Shu Mai (I learned it as chiu mai a long time ago) as I pass by the wine cellar. Look at the pleats on those - they take some time and care.

Me three!! I was in Singapore in 1990 and it was such a buzzing town, I can imagine that now it's almost like NYC. The only objection I had was the hot humid weather....unbearable for a Kraut like me!
