For our meeting in London, I'll take this train at Gare du Nord..
That sunshine looks very inviting, Walter. I'll just sit on the edge here and throw a few pebbles in the water while we wait for Francis to decide where he's taking us next.
Oh! Are we going to London on the train? Bbbbut...I wasn't finished seeing Paris yet!
Hey Eva, the London meeting is in three weeks!
In the mean time we stay in Paris.
Remember, we were at Invalides.
Let's go to Champs de Mars which is close...
I've found the perfect little apartment to stay in for a Paris visit. A week on the left bank, near the Champs de Mars is perfect.

Oh, I like it, Diane! The perfect place for entertaining a small group or just for two. I will send you a virtual bouquet the day you arrive. When are you planning your trip?
Well, that's really very pretty (like the others mentioned on that site).
Unfortunately my banc clerk wouldn't agree with these places - so I have choose out of this
plebiscite stuff.
But since Diane will invite me as well ...
Ah, Francis! I know where we are! That's l'Ecole Militaire in the background, non? Our hotel was right next to the Ecole Militaire Metro stop.
We splurged on lunches every day we were in Paris, and every evening we would pick up fresh baguettes, cheeses, olives, sausages and wine and have a picnic on the Champ du Mars as the sun set. Watching the twilight gather as a crowd of people played guitars, lit birthday cakes, cuddled and feasted while the lights came up on the Tower...it made for an incomparable setting.
Yes, my lady Eva, it's l'Ecole Militaire.
After dinner you could see this over your head...
Let's take a walk to Palais du Trocadero...
Checking in for the walk. Glad I wore my ugly but comfortable shoes.
It's better, Osso, if you want to see the little things that make wonderful memories...
I took a very good shot (if I do say so myself) of the scene just after we walked under the Tower one night. Quite a festive little area there with vendors of all kinds, right next to the Seine. We ate glaces (ice cream) while watching the carousel and listening to music from the dinner barges going up and down the river.
Here's the link. I posted it on Raven's Realm.

Well, maybe I'm gonna get a cab to Montmartre, alone...
I'm not going to take the stairs, I'll take the funicular...
Much nicer. Which one is you Francis?
