George, who competed in track and field at the last two Summer Games, got a Twitter message from Humphries after the Rio Olympics asking her to come out and try bobsled.

Now she has a bronze medal for her trophy case.

The OAR olympic athletes from Russia will not contest a doping violation with their curler in hopes of regaining Olympic status and marching as Team Russia in the closing ceremony - likely mean forfeit Bronze medal curling @CBCOlympics @CBCTheNational @pyeongchang2018

I may not win the contest, but my two 50 cents nations gave me points.

4 Mexicans competed in the games.
Their places:
27th
41st
48th
116th (and last).

But it's February and its 14C (57 Fahrenheit) over here.

@markr,
I haven't had the lead since Day 9, so we'll see how long it lasts. OAR will likely go 1-2 in Women's figure skating, which will give tgordon92 +8 points...

I just hope Austria can keep it up...

@wheel158,
I need SWE and SUI to crank it up to gain on you two.

@markr,
markr, you've got some more speed skating for NED in addition to SWE and SUI to help you out. And wheel158, you've got a lot of strong events left for AUT. Looks like it will be a tight three-way race and may come down to the final day!

@tgordon92,
Ah, yes. I forgot that you guys don't have NED. I hope it comes down to the final day - that will make it much more interesting.

@tgordon92,
Yep, it'll come down to:

Alpine Team Event (Go AUT!)
Biathlon: AUT, BUL, EST, NOR, SLO, SUI, SWE
Bobsled, 4-man: Will GER go 1-2-3? Multiple countries...
Curling: GBR, SWE and SUI
Speed Skating: BEL, EST, FIN, NED, NOR, POL
Cross Country Skiing: AUT, FIN, NOR, OAR, POL, SWE
Hockey: OAR
Snowboard Slalom: OAR, SUI
Snowboard Big Air: GBR, SUI, SWE

The women's 30K Cross Country Skiing is the last event, I believe.

Thanks for this synopsis! (One update: SUI won the men's curling bronze today.)

You're correct about the last event. Also worth noting: the event has 13 competitors, of which three are from SWE, one is from EST (also a markr pick) and the rest are from BLR, GER, NOR, and USA (which have no impact on our three-way race).

The other events on the last day are, in order:

- Men's curling final (KOR vs. SWE);
- Four-man bobsled;
- Men's hockey gold medal game (OAR vs. GER).

Also, while the hockey game starts about two hours before the skiing, they could end at close to the same time if the hockey game goes to overtime or a shootout.

@tgordon92,
I'm bummed that many Alpine skiers won't be participating in the mixed Alpine Team Event. Big names for AUT and USA aren't planning to compete in the event at all, which means we won't see all of the top racers. This is unfortunate, because that event is new and features a "head-to-head" format.
