Whining whining, or, perhaps, howlsinging, or singhowling, hugs to all of you.

OhMyGosh..... what a wonderful group of friends!!!

We grabbed a couple tables and shoved them together in the middle of the room, drank some beers, ate some dinner, and talked the night away!!!

Everyone is just as wonderful in person.... I took some pictures, and will download them to my computer when I get home from work tonight.... however, pictures will never touch the special feeling of sitting down and sharing time with friends, which adds a whole new dimension to knowing an internet friend....

It was so good to see little k again.... and to see SeattleFriend again....

Thanks, little k, for gathering the Seattle-area A2Kers together.... I can't wait until we do this again!!!

Very Happy

Yes, it was fun! A nice venue that I hadn't been to before (it's always great adding to my list of local watering holes), but best, of course, was meeting A2K folks and their partners and friends. A delightful group with diverse interests. And a special thanks to littlek for making it all possible--and for flying from Boston to Portland, then driving up to Seattle for the evening!

Yah, K be crazy to drive just fer that, doncha know...

D'artagnan is a voice from the other side of the table. I arrived late and ended up down at the end, way opposite stoat, who I suspect thought I was staring oddly at him for much of the evening. (But just looking straight ahead, you know?)

Peace and Love has known lots of animals, both good and dumb...

Yeah, that flight and drive were heroic feats, for sure. We doff our collective cap in your direction (somewhere en route to Whistler as we speak), littlek!

Given that Canada was just awarded the winter olympics for 2010 - with Whistler as one of the main sites - littlek is heading for a town in a major party mood.

Sounds like you guys had a super time!

We want more details, doncha know.

LOL... PatioDog, you are soooo funny!!!....

PatioDog was referring to my description of the time when my daughter was raising sheep, as a 4-H project.... LOL...

PatioDog and Mrs.PatioDog have some great stories about the dogs in their lives.... I'm hoping that we can get together at MaryMoor Park, with all our dogs, for a dog-day afternoon!!!

Very Happy

Ooooh, soooooo jealous! But then, I've just been through TX and met up with mac11 and Lola by phone (alas, only by phone since I couldn't get over to see them), saw Armadillo several times, and am now with BillW and his delightful family in OK. On to Iowa tomorrow and then back to Illinois for the 4th. I'll be posting photos tonight too, I hope, from the AF graduation of my son John. Will check back later tonight - bye y'all!

Oh boy, it sounds like you all had a great time. P&L, those stories you told me about your daughter in 4-H project were funny. I remember well. Did you bring Jack to the gathering. I would love to meet Jack in real life as well. I'm out here looking forward to pics as well.

Oooh! The first doggie a2k gathering!

Not on my way to Whistler quite yet. We'll head into Seattle for a couple of hours to see Pike Place and the Hendrix building...... Heading up north sometime after noon.

I had a great time, but was very late, still feel badly about that. It was wicked awsome meeting everyone! I'll not have my pictures online for quite a while, so I hope y'all can post some somewhere in the mean time. I have a good feeling that there will be plenty to satisfy everyone from P&L's camera alone!

I hope you enjoy the Market, littlek! I was there yesterday afternoon--there were a lot of people, but I was there with a friend and we had a great time. I'd love to hear your impressions of the place.

It is amazing that each a2k gathering is a wonderful, memorable event where old friends actually meet and joyously continue their friendship, adding a depth to the friendship by knowing each other's voice, gestures and facial characteristics. I love being able to read posts and to actually 'hear' the poster's voice as I read.

Even though I've been lucky enough to meet Peace and Love, piffka, Seattlefriend and ossobuco, I've never had the pleasure of meeting the others in the group, nor have I had the pleasure of visiting Portland or Seattle. It's a trip I promise to make before getting much older.

WHAT A GREAT GROUP!!! Very Happy

MORE DETAILS AND PHOTOS!!! Please.....
