You've never apologized and you never expect to apologize? Oh, Bear, don't say that... it makes me think of the president and his inability to recall a single mistake.

The reason the comment is considered passive-aggressive is that you are visualizing someone's death while saying you hope it doesn't happen.

That's a matter of semantics. Dangerous times require powerful words. And remember, Baldimo gleefully says he is CHOOSING to go to war, even though he has two small children at home.

Again, you misunderstand. I never said I was not angry over the war.

Carry on.

There is anger in truth from us liberals, and neocon minions like Ticomaya cannot handle the truth. It's that simple. Instead, they demonize. "kookie?" These are words the neocons love to use. It makes them feel good. They are simple words, really. Simple enough to bring the trailerpark trash into the debate. And they are the only words they seem to truly understand. Demonize the messenger.

Can Ticomaya refute any of the facts that were offered by the "kookie" liberal commentator who appeared on Faux news?

....

Demonize? How did I "demonize" her? I called her "kookie." In my view, she is. She was asked on to that program to discuss the snow at the inauguration, and she decides to take the moment to spew her anti-war rhetoric and argue politics with the host of the program. That's not what she was there for.

Quote:
Quinn: We were noticing all the snow in Washington. Uh, it's really coming down, I hope it doesn't put a crimp in anybody's plans. Look at that gorgeous shot of the White House.

Bachrach: Well, I have a feeling that it should put a crimp, or at least something should put a crimp in the plans of the White House to have such a lavish inauguration at a time of war.

Quinn: Really? Huh, okay.

Bachrach: Yes.

Sure, you'll justify it by saying the was rightious in her remarks, and she was accurate, but yet you wonder why some of us are suspicious at the motives of anti-war liberals in anything they say? Some of you take any opportinity to spew your propaganda drivel. Some of you will post pictures of war dead on this board. You will do or say anything because you feel strongly about it, and believe it justified. Some of us feel there are appropriate and inappropriate times and places for making political statements ....

And you didn't answer my question: What did Fox News "get"?

You really should try stringing your words together in sentences if you expect them to make any sense and be responded to.

Um, I believe she DID discuss the inauguration. Are you saying she was specifically invited to ONLY discuss the SNOW? Laughing

As Faux news is ALL about corporate politics, she had every right to raise her views. It's what's called dissent, a concept you neocons continuously fail to grasp. It's idiots like Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, who only help in the neocon cause of demonization. They've ALL used the world "kookie." And now you. Go figure...

I pointed out the the motives of the anti-war liberals regarding our protests before the war. The fact that we got it all right in what the aftermath would be is stunning, and you really don't get it. Instead, you call us "kookie." Typical.

Faux news innappropriately infuses political statements EVERYWHERE on their network, thereby completely belying their hilarous attempt to come off a journalists.

It is a joke that you seem to not get.

Fox news got their ideological arses handed to them on a silver platter by this anti-war coup. Good. Let it continue.

Amazing how us "kooks" can get things accurate, while you neocons are getting it all wrong (i.e., your amazing predictions regarding this war).

Flowers handed to our troops.
Finding all those WMDs (because we knew where they were).
Completely financing the reconstruction via profits from Iraqi oil.
Ending the insurgency.
Democracy.

You guys really are a joke. And the worst part is that you don't get it. Laughing

I guess you pinko anti-war libbies should be given a few small bones to keep you going. We wouldn't want you to get all depressed with the prospect of the next 4 years to look forward to. So if you want to que up the Judy Bachrach "blindside" interview periodically because you think it shows Fox News getting its "arses handed to them on a silver platter," then far be it from me to dissuade you. You should savor your small little "victories."

Oh, has this been posted yet?.....

TED TURNER COMPARES FOXNEWS TO HITLER
Tue Jan 25 2005 15:53:55 ET

Ted Turner called FOX an arm of the Bush administration and compared FOXNEWS's popularity to Hitler's popular election to run Germany before WWII.

Turner made the controversial comments in Las Vegas before a standing-room-only crowd at the National Association for Television Programming Executives's opening session.

His no-nonsense, humorous approach during the one-hour Q&A generated frequent loud applause and laughter, BROADCASTING & CABLE reports.

While FOX may be the largest news network [and has overtaken Turner's CNN], it's not the best, Turner said.

He followed up by pointing out that Adolf Hitler got the most votes when he was elected to run Germany prior to WWII. He said the network is the propaganda tool for the Bush Administration.

"There's nothing wrong with that. It's certainly legal. But it does pose problems for our democracy. Particularly when the news is dumbed down," leaving voters without critical information on politics and world events and overloaded with fluff," he said.

A FOXNEWS spokesperson responded: "Ted is understandably bitter having lost his ratings, his network and now his mind -- we wish him well."

In 1996, Turner apologized to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) for comments he made comparing FOX head Rupert Murdoch to Hitler.

Well okay then. Very Happy I'm glad you stand your ground except when it is in the best interests of marital harmony. It takes a big man to recognize that. Wink

It is a stupid war -- ill-thought out and not well-administered. George Bush saw that big shiny army hammer in his toolbox and couldn't take his eyes off of it. He's never looked back, never reconsidered and never apologized. He is a little man who has started a big war.

To me, anyone who believes in this war should enlist and fight in it and encourage their children to do so. It would take the pressure off the troops who are there. If these war-lovers are too old to enlist, then they should take a job with Haliburton and work at rebuilding the country.

As for the original discussion of this thread: the administration made no points with me by their lavish celebration in the midst of that war. I am glad that woman had the balls to note how inappropriate the inauguration display was during that interview.

I've got a better idea. Perhaps you can start by not sounding like a complete idiot and actually debate issues without demonizing the messenger.

Funny how the "kookie" who appeared on Fox news was, um, accurate.

I guess people who are accurate and state the facts are "kookie," and people who lie through their teeth in cause of journalistic bastardization are actually considered "patriotic" by the neocon idiots.

Really, quite amazing...

Laughing I never said I found it stupid ... it just doesn't make any sense. I wanted to give you the opportunity to clarify. You can try again.
